leader_zhang: Language exchange has nothing to do with where you come from. i am a beijinger, i love china. I disagree with you, I believe language has everything to do with the place you grew up or you live currently. Language is a big part of culture.
Look for example to the English speaking countries. The USA, England, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, New Sealand... There are big differences in the way they spell, pronounce and use the language.
Besides that, i think learning a language is not only focusing on the language, but also on the culture itself. Language is a way to communicate, in order to communicate well, you also need to understand the other persons culture.
So, in general, i would state tat it matters where you come from. |
