Extravagant Spending on College Campus

大學(xué)生無(wú)節(jié)制花錢(qián)

According to a survey, in recent years the monthly expenditure of a college student has been on the sharp rise. Many college students spend money like water and have no concept of thrift in their mind. They take it for granted that they spend money from their parents before they enter into the society. This extravagant spending is mainly caused by the following factors.

根據(jù)調(diào)查顯示,近年來(lái),大學(xué)生的月消費(fèi)金額一直在急劇上升。很多大學(xué)生花錢(qián)如流水，根本沒(méi)有節(jié)儉的概念。他們認(rèn)為在他們踏進(jìn)社會(huì)前向父母要錢(qián)是理所當(dāng)然的。這種奢侈消費(fèi)的現(xiàn)象主要是由于以下因素引起的。

First of all, nowadays most of students are the only children of their families. They are the apple in their family’s eyes and naturally get more care and pocket money. Secondly, with the improvement of living standard, parents can afford higher expenditure of their children. Thirdly, some students like to pursue fashion and trends, which tends to need more money. Finally, campus love is also a possible factor causing extravagant spending.

首先，現(xiàn)在很多學(xué)生都是獨(dú)生兒女。他們是家里的寶貝，所以很自然能夠得到更多的關(guān)心和零花錢(qián)。第二，隨著生活水平的提高，父母可以支付孩子們?cè)絹?lái)越高的花銷(xiāo)。第三，一些學(xué)生喜歡追逐時(shí)尚和潮流，所以就需要更多的錢(qián)。最后，校園愛(ài)情也可能是導(dǎo)致奢侈消費(fèi)的一個(gè)因素。

From my point of view, a college student, as a pure consumer, should learn to be thrifty. We should not limit our expenditure on daily necessities but not buy whatever we want regardless of their prices. The habit of thrift can help us form right values and is favorable to our future development.
