【搭配】be of great significance 意義重大的 ; give a new significance to 賦予…以新的含義；attach great significance to 對…高度重視
【例】It is a mistake to attach too much significance to these fluctuations. 過分重視這些漲落變動是錯誤的。
Nuclear developments have given a new significance to minerals which were but poorly regarded. 原子能的發給予過去不大受重視的礦物以新的含義。
【擴展】significant adj. ①有含義的，意味深長的
e.g: a significant wink 意味深長的一眨眼
a historically significant meeting 一交具有歷史意義的會議
