There has been an outcry across China aftera sex education textbook was accused of branding premarital sex as cheap.
Many people say it highlights genderinequality in the country, reports the People's Daily Online.
The 21st Century Publishing Group whocreated the book, which is used by pupils aged between 15 and 18, say that thebook is not insulting to women.
The book is titled 'Scientific SexEducation for Senior High Student'.
The book then continues: 'As a result,sexual relations can cause women to lose love.'
According to state-run GlobalTimes, a total of 2,000 copies of the books have been sent out to schoolsin Jiangxi province over the past 12 years.
People have shared their outrage on China'ssocial media site Weibo.
One user commented: 'Terrible. What is this book? It's called old-fashioned ethics course right?'
While another said: 'Sex is between two people. Why is only one person degraded?'
And one user said: 'These books are the values of grandparents. I do not know why we still have them.'
Even teachers have shared their outrage atthe book.
Global Times says that one person claimingto be a teacher, wrote on Weibo under the name Xiao Chuwu: 'Sex education issupposed to protect teenagers, not intimidate or insult them'.
Sex education in China is typically taughtby informing students of the basic anatomical difference between the sexes andnothing else.

人民網報道，很多人認為它突出了這個國家的性別不平等。
這本書的出版社21世紀出版集團稱本書無意侵犯女性。該書適用于15到18歲的學生。
這本書叫做《高中生科學性教育》。

環球時報報道，過去12年間已經有2000多本分發到了江西省的學校里去。
人們在微博上表達了自己的憤怒。
一名網友說道：”這叫什么書啊?應該叫過時的道德課是嗎?
還有人說：“性是兩個人的事，為什么只有其中一方是墮落的?”
還有人說：“這書中表現的是祖父母的價值觀。我不明白為什么還要保留這樣的價值觀。”
甚至老師們都發表了自己的憤怒之情。
環球時報報道說其中一名自稱老師的人在微博上寫道：“性教育應該保護青少年，而不是恐嚇和侮辱他們”。
中國的性教育一般只涉及男女之間基本的解刨學區別，別無其他。
