在托福寫作的過程中，相信大家不難體會到文章中句子的的多樣性是必不可少的，畢竟托福是一門語言類的考試，如果沒有多要類的語言表達自然不能反映出你對語言能力的掌握。但是，托福也是非常講求邏輯思維并不是把句子寫的越長就一定分數越高，我們究竟應該怎樣控制好這些方面的因素呢?

當我們說到托福寫作技巧中句式多樣性的時候，我們最常想到的就是兩點，第一點，這是好像一直都與我絕緣，我們最常寫的就只有定語從句和賓語從句，第二點，所謂句式的多樣性，貌似只要把句子寫長了，句子就有多樣性了。如果我們喜歡賣弄文字的話，其實大可以說短句不見得句子多樣性就不好，長句不見得句子多樣性就好。但是托福作文句子長本身就是更有空間來承載更多的可能性，這里自然也就包括句子的多樣性。如果句子短的話，可用空間就少，想增加多樣性難度就會偏高，這是不可否認的。

但是，這并不意味著句子單純的長就是好事，其實簡單來說，新托福寫作中我們會發現高分作文句子的長度大多是會控制在2行以內，換句話說，如果一篇托福作文之中有1-2句超過了2行，是可以的，但是如果有5句以上都超過了2行，在別人看的時候，有可能就會覺得過于復雜難懂了，這個度是要把握好的。

接下來就是我們句式多樣性的主菜了，也就是到底哪些元素會增加句子的多樣性呢?這就要分為兩大塊，第一大塊是替換和改寫句子里面的某些詞來實現的，另外一部分，則是要重寫整個句子才能實現的。

當然第一塊是最好做的，我們不妨先來看第一部分。其實第一部分，可以包括如下幾個部分，分別是：定語從句，非限定性定語從句，賓語從句，同位語，介賓結構，并列結構，固定搭配，以及地道的表達方式。我們可以看一下以下句子。

定語從句的代表就是：The difference is very obvious, so the modern people who have high technology would easier to be successful.里面的who have high technology

非限定性定語從句的代表：The standard is very wide and abstract, which are against the standard of the students’ score’s narrowness and rigidity.里面的which are against the standard of the students’ score’s narrowness and rigidity.

賓語從句的代表是：We have to admit that grandparents would not be able to give suggestions when we are in trouble with these new technologies or when we are in problems with specific characteristics of this generation.之中的that grandparents would not be able to give suggestions when we are in trouble with these new technologies or when we are in problems with specific characteristics of this generation.

同位語：Thomas Jefferson，the third president of the United States，

may be less fa- mous than George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.里面的the third president of the United States，

介賓結構的代表是： Also, in political negotiations, possessing of a solid oral expression would give the government more lead in negotiation and prevent possible misunderstandings when discussing specific details.這里的in political negotiations

并列結構很重要，他的代表是：Internet, smart phones and computers are filled in every corner of our daily lives.他們的Internet, smart phones and computers。顯然并列結構會讓人感覺論證很充分，很令人信服。

固定搭配的代表就是：For instance, the computer plays an important role in our life in terms of efficiency.里面的plays an important role。

地道的表達的代表則是Given the past, I had to go to the library and bury me a couple of days looking for the information on nuclear energy without the assistance of computers.里面的Given the past

前面這是第一部分，不過說實話，這還是簡單易學的。但是有一些其實是要改變我們整體的思維方式，由此來改變我們的寫作或者說表達方式，其實這一點上是難度很高的。比如說這句話The extreme seriousness of desertification results from the vast areas of land and the tremendous numbers of people affected, as well as from the great difficulty of reversing or even slowing the process.

其實我們想一下就會發現，我們自己寫，很多時候不會這么寫，我們寫的很有可能是The desertification is extremely seriousness. Because the vast areas of land and the tremendous numbers of people was affected, as well as reversing or even slowing the process is very difficulty.這其實是難度很高的。但往往也就是因為這個核心部分，而決定了一個分數段上的差別。
