5：1 約旦河西亞摩利人的諸王和靠海迦南人的諸王，聽(tīng)見(jiàn)耶和華在以色列人前面使約旦河的水乾了，等到我們過(guò)去，他們的心因以色列人的緣故就消化了，不再有膽氣。

　　And it came to pass， when all the kings of the Amorites， which were on the side of Jordan westward， and all the kings of the Canaanites， which were by the sea， heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel， until we were passed over， that their heart melted， neither was there spirit in them any more， because of the children of Israel.

　　5：2 那時(shí)，耶和華吩咐約書(shū)亞說(shuō)，你制造火石刀，第二次給以色列人行割禮。

　　At that time the LORD said unto Joshua， Make thee sharp knives， and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time.

　　5：3 約書(shū)亞就制造了火石刀，在除皮山那里給以色列人行割禮。

　　And Joshua made him sharp knives， and circumcised the children of Israel at the hill of the foreskins.

　　5：4 約書(shū)亞行割禮的緣故，是因?yàn)閺陌＜俺鰜?lái)的眾民，就是一切能打仗的男丁，出了埃及以后，都死在曠野的路上。

　　And this is the cause why Joshua did circumcise： All the people that came out of Egypt， that were males， even all the men of war， died in the wilderness by the way， after they came out of Egypt.

　　5：5 因?yàn)槌鰜?lái)的眾民都受過(guò)割禮。惟獨(dú)出埃及以后，在曠野的路上所生的眾民都沒(méi)有受過(guò)割禮。

　　Now all the people that came out were circumcised： but all the people that were born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Egypt， them they had not circumcised.

　　5：6 以色列人在曠野走了四十年，等到國(guó)民，就是出埃及的兵丁，都消滅了，因?yàn)樗麄儧](méi)有聽(tīng)從耶和華的話。耶和華曾向他們起誓，必不容他們看見(jiàn)耶和華向他們列祖起誓，應(yīng)許賜給我們的地，就是流奶與蜜之地。

　　For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness， till all the people that were men of war， which came out of Egypt， were consumed， because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD： unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land， which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us， a land that floweth with milk and honey.

　　5：7 他們的子孫，就是耶和華所興起來(lái)接續(xù)他們的，都沒(méi)有受過(guò)割禮。因?yàn)樵诼飞蠜](méi)有給他們行割禮，約書(shū)亞這才給他們行了。

　　And their children， whom he raised up in their stead， them Joshua circumcised： for they were uncircumcised， because they had not circumcised them by the way.

　　5：8 國(guó)民都受完了割禮，就住在營(yíng)中自己的地方，等到痊愈了。

　　And it came to pass， when they had done circumcising all the people， that they abode in their places in the camp， till they were whole.

　　5：9 耶和華對(duì)約書(shū)亞說(shuō)，我今日將埃及的羞辱從你們身上輥去了。因此，那地方名叫吉甲（吉甲就是輥的意思），直到今日。

　　And the LORD said unto Joshua， This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal unto this day.

　　5：10 以色列人在吉甲安營(yíng)。正月十四日晚上，在耶利哥的平原守逾越節(jié)。

　　And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal， and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho.

　　5：11 逾越節(jié)的次日，他們就吃了那地的出產(chǎn)。正當(dāng)那日吃無(wú)酵餅和烘的谷。

　　And they did eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow after the passover， unleavened cakes， and parched corn in the selfsame day.

　　5：12 他們吃了那地的出產(chǎn)，第二日嗎哪就止住了，以色列人也不再有嗎哪了。那一年，他們卻吃迦南地的出產(chǎn)。

　　And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land； neither had the children of Israel manna any more； but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

　　5：13 約書(shū)亞靠近耶利哥的時(shí)候，舉目觀看，不料，有一個(gè)人手里有拔出來(lái)的刀，對(duì)面站立。約書(shū)亞到他那里，問(wèn)他說(shuō)，你是幫助我們呢，是幫助我們敵人呢。

　　And it came to pass， when Joshua was by Jericho， that he lifted up his eyes and looked， and， behold， there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand： and Joshua went unto him， and said unto him， Art thou for us， or for our adversaries？

　　5：14 他回答說(shuō)，不是的，我來(lái)是要作耶和華軍隊(duì)的元帥。約書(shū)亞就俯伏在地下拜，說(shuō)，我主有什么話吩咐仆人。

　　And he said， Nay； but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth， and did worship， and said unto him， What saith my lord unto his servant？

　　5：15 耶和華軍隊(duì)的元帥對(duì)約書(shū)亞說(shuō)，把你腳上的鞋脫下來(lái)，因?yàn)槟闼镜牡胤绞鞘サ摹＜s書(shū)亞就照著行了。

　　And the captain of the LORD's host said unto Joshua， Loose thy shoe from off thy foot； for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.
