　　1：1 保羅，西拉，提摩太，寫信給帖撒羅尼迦在父神和主耶穌基督里的教會(huì)。愿恩惠平安歸與你們。

　　Paul， and Silvanus， and Timotheus， unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ： Grace be unto you， and peace， from God our Father， and the Lord Jesus Christ.

　　1：2 我們?yōu)槟銈儽娙顺３８兄x神，禱告的時(shí)候題到你們。

　　We give thanks to God always for you all， making mention of you in our prayers；

　　1：3 在神我們的父面前，不住的記念你們因信心所作的工夫，因愛心所受的勞苦，因盼望我們主耶穌基督所存的忍耐。

　　Remembering without ceasing your work of faith， and labour of love， and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ， in the sight of God and our Father；

　　1：4 被神所愛的弟兄阿，我知道你們是蒙揀選的。

　　Knowing， brethren beloved， your election of God.

　　1：5 因?yàn)槲覀兊母Ｒ魝鞯侥銈兡抢铮华?dú)在乎言語，也在乎權(quán)能和圣靈，并充足的信心，正如你們知道我們?cè)谀銈兡抢?，為你們的緣故是怎樣為人?/p>

　　For our gospel came not unto you in word only， but also in power， and in the Holy Ghost， and in much assurance； as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

　　1：6 并且你們?cè)诖箅y之中，蒙了圣靈所賜的喜樂，領(lǐng)受真道，就效法我們，也效法了主。

　　And ye became followers of us， and of the Lord， having received the word in much affliction， with joy of the Holy Ghost：

　　1：7 甚至你們作了馬其頓和亞該亞，所有信主之人的榜樣。

　　So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

　　1：8 因?yàn)橹鞯牡缽哪銈兡抢镆呀?jīng)傳楊出來，你們向神的信心不但在馬其頓和亞該亞，就是在各處，也都傳開了。所以不用我們說什么話。

　　For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia， but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad； so that we need not to speak any thing.

　　1：9 因?yàn)樗麄冏约阂呀?jīng)報(bào)明我們是怎樣進(jìn)到你們那里，你們是怎樣離棄偶像歸向神，要服事那又真又活的神，F(xiàn)or they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you， and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God；

　　1：10 等候他兒子從天降臨，就是他從死里復(fù)活的，那位救我們脫離將來忿怒的耶穌。

　　And to wait for his Son from heaven， whom he raised from the dead， even Jesus， which delivered us from the wrath to come.
