【寫法指要】
當你要舉辦生日紀念、周末消遣性的便餐晚會時，可以通過電話或便函性請帖邀請客人。如果時間允許，最好是寫信邀約。邀請信可以簡短，但要真誠熱情。寫請帖的日期可以像寫信一樣寫在左上角，也可像寫請柬一樣寫在左下角。
三、便條
非正式社交書信統稱為便條或便箋（notes）。它是用于家人、同事、鄰居、朋友之間的一種應用文。前面書信類中的“感謝信”、“祝賀信’等有時也可稱為便箋。
人們往往因有一些簡單或緊急的事情需要臨時告知別人，而由于某種原因無法與對方直接聯系，這時便條就是溝通的工具。
總的來說，便條可分為兩種：請假條（note asking for leave）和留言條（message note left）。
便條實際上是一種簡易書信，談的都是當天或三兩天內的事。但它“麻雀雖小，五臟俱全”，包括除信內地址以外的各項內容，即日期、稱呼、正文、結尾客套語、簽名等。時間常常不寫年月，只寫日期或上下午，或幾點鐘。
便條一般是臨時通知、詢問事宜，往往是托人轉交或在某一場合的直接留言，不需要郵寄，所以不用信封。寫便條時要立求開門見山、三言兩語把意思表達清楚，句式簡單、用詞隨便，接近口語。
例如：
