2.識音標，記單詞
set vt.（set； set； setting ）放，置，安排，使（某人）做某事，點燃，頒布，估計set a rule（制定規則）；vi.日，月等落，下沉，從事，合身；adj.老一套的；n.日落，一套裝置； get set（預備開始），set aside（把……另外存起來）。
pet n.寵物，寵兒；adj.寵愛的，最喜歡的a pet topic（熱門話題），親昵的a pet name（昵稱）；vt.（petted；petting）寵愛；vi.擁抱，接吻。
bet vt.（bet， betted； betting）用……打賭；與……打賭make a bet with sb.（與某人打賭），敢斷定；vi.打賭；n.打賭He wins the bet（他賭贏了），賭注，賭金，被打賭的對象，有希望獲勝的競爭者； You bet！（當然！真的！的確！）。
jet n.噴氣式飛機，噴氣式發動機，要點，要旨；vt.（jetted；jetting）噴射，vt.噴射出；adj.噴氣式（發動機）推進的，飛快的； adj.黑色的，烏黑發亮的； at a single jet（略加思索就能領會，一想就通），at the first jet（出于一時的沖動或高興）。
net adj.凈的，純的a net interest（純利），net weight凈重； n網狀物，捕捉網，要點，要旨； vt.（netted； netting）凈賺得。
wet adj.（wetter； wettest）潮的，多雨的What a wet day！（這多雨的天氣！），搞錯了的Don't be so wet！ （你別傻了！），傷感的； vt.（wetted， wet； wetting）把……弄濕，把……尿濕； vi.變濕，尿濕；all wet（大錯特錯，毫無價值，胡說）。
get vt.（got； got/gotten； getting）獲得、贏得，弄來，明白I've got it（我明白了），把……難倒，必須 I've got to go（我該走了）；vi.變得get angry（生氣），成為It's getting cold（天氣變冷）； Don't get me wrong（不要誤會我的意思），Get out with you！（滾開！去你的！）。

set――在set前加sun變為：sunset n.日落，晚年
pet――在pet前加car變為：carpet n.地毯，毛毯
bet――在bet里加n變為：bent n.傾向，愛好adj.彎的
net――在net后加work變為：network n.網，網絡
wet――近義詞：damp n.潮濕，濕氣，濕度
反義詞：dry adj.干的；干燥的
get――把get里的e換為u變為：gut n.腸，內臟
