Modern Industry
Modern industry has changed our way of life. In the past， we traveled form one place to another either on foot or on a horse's back， but now we go by bus， train or plane.
When I play with my cat， who knows whether I do not make her more sport than she makes me？
Modern industry also has seriously polluted our surroundings. Cars add much waste to the air that is already polluted by power and chemical plants.
These problems， however， can be solved through further industrial development. For example， we can use electricity and solar energy instead of coal. We believe a more advanced industry will certainly be more capable of taking care of its waste.
