To Buy A Pair of Socks
One fine afternoon I was walking along Fifth Avenue，when I remembered that it was necessary to buy a pair of socks.
一個晴朗的下午，我沿著第五大道走著，這時我記起來一定要買一雙襪子。
I turned into the first sock shop that caught my eye，and a boy clerk who could not have been more than seventeen years old came forward.“What can I do for you，sir?”“I wish to buy a pair of socks.” His eyes glowed. There was a note of passion in his voice.
第一家襪子店吸引了我的注意，于是我拐了進去，然后一個不到17歲的男店員走過來。“想買什么，先生?”“我想買一雙襪子。”他的眼睛閃閃發(fā)光。他的聲音非常熱情。
“Did you know that you had come into the finest place in the world to buy socks?”I had not been aware of that，as my entrance had been accidental. “Come with me，” said the boy，ecstatically.
“您知道您來到了世界上最好的地方買襪子嗎?”我沒有意識到，我進到這里只是偶然。“跟我來。”男孩心醉神迷地說道。
I followed him to the rear of the shop，and he began to haul down from the shelves box after box，displaying their contents for my delectation.
我跟著他走進他商店后面，他開始從貨架上拿下一個又一個盒子后，打開里面的東西讓我挑選。
