Task:describing or comparing figures from graphic input,making inferences form: short report(120-140 words)
圖表主要形式有：bar chart/pie chart/graphs
描寫圖表一般有一定的用詞，格式，一般描述圖表分三個步驟：
1.總體趨勢描述，可以進行兩者總體的比較上
2.分別具體描述趨勢，要找出圖表上的關鍵意義的點，如A與B的共同有的點，和各自最高最低點等等。
3.描述圖表趨勢及重要的轉折點的主要用詞（有的很常用的沒寫出來）：
peak(頂峰)bottom(谷地/最低點)general upward trend(總體向上/增長趨勢)fluctuate（波動)bottom out(最底點后平緩)level off/out(處相對于平緩期)shoot up(暴漲)collapse/crash/slump/plunge(暴跌)climb to ……(攀升)recove/pick up(從……恢復) outstrip(超越)…………
用于比較的詞/短語：however,whereas,likewise,...as...,in contrast,on the other hand...一般用與分別論述的兩個段落之間
用于描述時間段的短語：during the period of ....,between...and...,from...to..
比較好的幾個詞/短語：
see
e.g.Microsoft saw its share price change constantly,they reached a peak of $100 in July,fell to under $80 in mid-August......
stand
e.g.The figure stood at 7% at the begining of April and rose dramatically to peak at the level of 11.5%......
with 結構
e.g.The upward trend continued,with the figure reaching a peak of 700 by the end of 1997.
before結構
e.g.1998 saw the figure drop sharply to 600 before levelling out.
