要求:You are the secretary of a computer hardware company. Write an email to Mr Gatt one of your customers, to apologise for the inconvenience created because he has not received an order. Mr Gatt’s email address is joegatt@webcom.net.mt . You should write between 60 and 80 words.

Subject: Missing Order
Dear Mr Gatt,
I am sorry to hear about the problems you have been experiencing with the order you placed with us on the 23rd January.[1] I cannot as yet say who is at fault but I assure you there will be a full investigation.[2] Moyra Brown, who is our production assistant, will contact you shortly to arrange suitable compensation for the inconvenience that has been caused.[3]
I would like to apologise once more.[4]

[0]這篇道歉信比較短,不知道日常生活中的道歉信是否也這么短。或許是因?yàn)閷Ψ奖緛砭涂赡鼙容^生氣了,再發(fā)一篇長篇大論可能對方也不想看,對方其實(shí)就像知道問題怎么解決,后果誰承擔(dān)。因此這篇郵件的邏輯基本也是按照這一順序。
[1]開頭道歉。[2]然后可能會(huì)講述問題原因,或者將解決方案先講完,再解釋原因(如果比較長)。
[3]解決辦法,越細(xì)越好,落實(shí)到人頭和時(shí)間。這里用的shortly,或許發(fā)完郵件當(dāng)天就會(huì)著手處理,但如果解決的時(shí)間比較長一些,或許應(yīng)寫明大約需要多少時(shí)間。
[4]最后再次道歉。
