In this day and age, students in mounting numbers choose to study abroad against the background of globalization and booming economy. Although it has been praised for its benefits, there are still some challenges that deserve our special attention.
First and foremost, culture shock is viewed as a top challenge to those overseas students. Generally speaking, different cultural background including language barrier, customs and ways of thinking can cast unexpected influence on those involved. It is true that a majority of them have no idea of the local established tradition. In addition, studying abroad means huge expense. Not only should their parents face the great economic burden, but also overseas students have to do long-time part-time job after class.
Based on the analyses above, we can easily come to the conclusion that the challenges of studying abroad can never be obscured. It is advisable for the overseas students to make corresponding preparations for the problems mentioned above.
