Drink Driving
Drink driving is a very serious issue in China. In the first half of 2009, China's Drink driving cases jumped by 9%. In Beijing alone, 97 people were killed by drunk drivers by the end of July in 2009. The deadly result has spark repeated crackdowns on drink driving and heated debates on whether offenders deserve harsher punishrnent.
醉酒駕駛在中國(guó)是一個(gè)非常嚴(yán)重的問題。在2009年前半年，中國(guó)的醉酒駕駛案件增加了9%。單在北京，截止到2009年7月底就有97人死于醉酒駕駛的司機(jī)之手。這一致命的結(jié)果激發(fā)了對(duì)醉酒駕駛的不斷制裁，引起了對(duì)觸犯法規(guī)者是否應(yīng)受到更嚴(yán)厲的懲罰這一問題激烈的爭(zhēng)論。
There are a number of reasons for the increase of drink driving in China. Firstly, China's highly sociable but sometimes excessive drinking habits should be mentioned. People often persuade others to drink more, even if they know their friends may drive when drunk. Secondly, the punishrnent for drink driving is not harsh enough. Many people argue that the cost of drink driving is too low, so drunk drivers do it again and again.
中國(guó)醉酒駕駛的增長(zhǎng)有很多原因。首先，應(yīng)該提一提，中國(guó)人交際廣泛，但有時(shí)有過度飲酒的習(xí)慣。人們通常會(huì)勸別人多喝點(diǎn)，即使他們知道自己的朋友喝醉了以后可能會(huì)駕車。其次，對(duì)醉酒駕駛的懲罰還不夠嚴(yán)厲。許多人認(rèn)為醉酒駕駛的成本太低，所以醉酒司機(jī)一次又一次地這么做。
More severe punishment is defrnitely necessary to curb drink driving. No matter who the driver is, or what the reason is, any drunk driver should be severely punished. But we also need to attach greater importance to education. Anyway, prevention is always the best measure. (176 words)
更嚴(yán)厲的懲罰對(duì)遏制醉酒駕駛來說絕對(duì)有必要。不管司機(jī)是誰，或者出于什么原因，任何醉酒司機(jī)都應(yīng)該被嚴(yán)厲地懲罰。但是我們還需要對(duì)教育教導(dǎo)加以更大的重視。不管怎樣，預(yù)防總是最好的措施。
