雅思寫作：從閱讀真題變身寫作素材

雅思閱讀和雅思寫作在教學中雖然屬于不同科目，但這兩門科目之間的緊密聯系顯而易見。我在教授雅思閱讀和寫作的過程中，發現如果學生能夠有效利用兩者之間聯系進行備考，肯定會極大提高學習興趣，達到事半功倍。
先來看雅思寫作的話題分布，請注意這里談討的寫作只會涉及到寫作的Task2（A類考試Task1考查數據描述表達能力，G類考試Task1要求書信寫作，都有固定的寫作方式， 通過復習短期內能夠提高）。不論是A類考試還是G類考試，Task2考查的話題可以用一個簡單的公式來表達：PETS+_C(policy, economy, environment, education, technology, social issues and culture)。再來看雅思閱讀的題材，雅思閱讀的文章類型主要集中在三大類：科普類（包括動植物類）文章，實驗研究類文章及商科類文章。通過研究劍四到劍七， 不難發現閱讀中很多文章就可以當做寫作的素材。雅思閱讀文章可謂寫作提供大量素材：
劍橋真題4Test4 Reading Passage3: The Problem of Scarce Resources 是關于醫療資源短缺問題以及政府有必要投資醫療基礎設施。在文章的一開頭，作者就開門見山點明話題：The problem of how health-care resources should be allocated or apportioned, so that they are distributed in both the most just and most efficient way, is not a new one. 在第三段作者明確提出每個人都有權利享受醫療服務，從而證明政府有義務提供有效服務機制: People have a basic right to health-care as a necessary condition of a proper human life. Like education, political and legal processes and institutions, public order, communication, transport and money supply, health-care came to be seen as one of the fundamental social facilities necessary for people exercise their rights as autonomous human beings……the state has no obligation to provide a health-care system itself, but to insure that such a system is provided.
我們可以學習這樣的論證語言與結構，打開寫作同話題的思路。今幾年雅思寫作的一個熱點話題就是政府投資(policy)，集中在基礎設施投資PK上層建筑, 基礎設施包括物質性基礎設施和社會性基礎設施，機場、公路、鐵路、水電煤氣、醫療衛生、教育、科研與技術服務都是屬于這個范疇。從歷年的雅思議論文考題來看，基礎設施與政府職能類話題在雅思寫作中所占的比重不輕。常見的出題思路有兩大類，一是討論基礎設施的功能和發展方向，如圖書館和博物館的功能，改善教育和醫療設施的方法，二是討論政府對基礎設施建設和發展的責任及措施，比如醫療、教育、體育、公路建設、科研、人口數量以及住房問題。一般來講，考官的出題重點是在第二種思路上，即側重討論政府在基礎設施建設中的職能問題。劍橋真題4Test4 Reading Passage3: The Problem of Scarce Resources講的就是政府應該投資醫療，和這類寫作話題不謀而合。列舉今年有關這方面的寫作話題：
