考試作弊
As the total number of people taking variousexaminations in China reaches millions, cheating inthe examshas grown to be a serious problem. Somepeople may find many excuses and reasons forcheating, but I don’t see any worth of that.
在中國(guó)參加各類考試的人數(shù)已經(jīng)達(dá)到了上百萬人，作弊問題日益嚴(yán)重。許多人還為作弊找尋了諸多理由，但是我認(rèn)為作弊是不值得的。
First, the punishment is severe. In all the cheating cases, a record of the offence and thepenalty imposed will be ordered to be held on the student’s personal file in the academicdepartment and will seriouslyaffect the nature of any reference issued to potential employersor other educational institutions.Second,no matter what reasons you cheat for, they can’tchange the nature of cheating, which is immoral. Cheating in the exams makes no differencefrom pick pocketing. Maybe some students cheat for being not willing todisappoint theirparents, but in fact they’ve disappointed them more deeply for their dishonesty.Fellowstudents also have no sympathy for those who are punished for cheating.Those who havesucceeded in cheatingcan feel subsequent shame and loss of confidence because they havenot given themselves a fair test of their ability and end up cheating themselves.
首先，作弊的懲罰力度是很重的。在所有的作弊事例中，所有懲罰和犯錯(cuò)記錄都會(huì)記錄到學(xué)生個(gè)人檔案之中，這也將嚴(yán)重影響到未來雇主的用人情況，以及其他一些教育機(jī)構(gòu)的招生情況。第二，無論學(xué)生作弊出于什么原因，作弊都是不對(duì)的，也是不道德的。在考試中作弊與當(dāng)小偷是沒有區(qū)別的，或許，許多學(xué)生作弊的原因是不想讓家長(zhǎng)失望。但事實(shí)上，他們的不誠(chéng)實(shí)會(huì)讓父母更加失望。學(xué)生對(duì)于作弊的同學(xué)是沒有同情的。那些成功作弊的同學(xué)會(huì)感到羞恥，并缺乏信心，因?yàn)樗麄儧]有檢測(cè)到自己的真實(shí)水平，他們欺騙了自己。
To sum up, exams are set for measuring talent and evaluating qualifications, which should be afair play. However, cheating destroys the justice of examinations. For the sake of a moretransparent and honest examenvironment so as to guarantee the legal rights of exam-takers and protect the credibility of examinations,we must clear out the conduct of cheatingin exams.
總結(jié)，考試是衡量水平的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，考試應(yīng)該是公平的。但是，作弊損害了考試的公正。為了營(yíng)造透明，誠(chéng)實(shí)的考試環(huán)境，為了保證考試人員的合法權(quán)益，并保護(hù)考試的可信度，我們必須杜絕作弊行為。
