食品安全監管的重要性
After the exposure of Sanlu melamine milk powdercrisis, the issue of food safety was brought intopublic focus and is arousing more and more people’sconcerns.It cannot be denied that food safetycontrol is very important.

First, from the perspective of health, it’s important to control food safety. As an old proverbgoes, we are what we eat. Our nutritional status, health, physical and mental faculties dependon the food we eat and how we eat it. Access to good quality food has been man’s mainendeavor from the earliest days of human existence. Safety of food is a basic requirement offood quality, which directly influences our health and life safety.Second, from the perspectiveof economic development, controlling food quality makes economic sense. The value of worldfood trade is increasing every year, thanks to the development of science andtechnology.Scientific development also allowes a better understanding of the nutritional qualities of foodand its health implications.This has led consumers to become more discriminating in foodmatters and to demand protection from inferior quality and unsafe food. Therefore, foodsafety control is necessary and important in building up consumers’trust and confidence, thusbenefiting the economy.
第一，從健康的角度看，控制食品安全是非常重要的。有一句老話說，民以食為天。我們的健康、營養、體質、心理健康等都取決于我們所食用的食品，以及我們如何食用。食用高質量食品一直是我們的追求。食品安全是食品質量的基本要求，這將直接影響到我們的健康和生命。第二，從經濟發展的角度上說，監管食品安全有利于經濟的發展。全球的食品貿易逐年遞增，這要歸功于科學和技術的發展。科學發展也能夠讓我們更好地了解到食品質量以及健康等問題。消費者將更加注重食品問題，他們對低質量食品和不安全食品的警惕性將提高。所以，食品安全是必要的，這對于建立消費者的信任是非常重要的，這也將促進經濟的發展。
In one word, food safety control is important to the health and life safety of the general publicand the sound economic development as well.
