2：1 當(dāng)下，嫩的兒子約書亞從什亭暗暗打發(fā)兩個(gè)人作探子，吩咐說(shuō)，你們?nèi)ジQ探那地和耶利哥。于是二人去了，來(lái)到一個(gè)妓女名叫喇合的家里，就在那里躺臥。

　　And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly， saying， Go view the land， even Jericho. And they went， and came into an harlot's house， named Rahab， and lodged there.

　　2：2 有人告訴耶利哥王說(shuō)，今夜有以色列人來(lái)到這里窺探此地。

　　And it was told the king of Jericho， saying， Behold， there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country.

　　2：3 耶利哥王打發(fā)人去見(jiàn)喇合說(shuō)，那來(lái)到你這里，進(jìn)了你家的人要交出來(lái)，因?yàn)樗麄儊?lái)窺探全地。

　　And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab， saying， Bring forth the men that are come to thee， which are entered into thine house： for they be come to search out all the country.

　　2：4 女人將二人隱藏，就回答說(shuō)，那人果然到我這里來(lái)。他們是哪里來(lái)的我卻不知道。

　　And the woman took the two men， and hid them， and said thus， There came men unto me， but I wist not whence they were：

　　2：5 天黑，要關(guān)城門的時(shí)候，他們出去了，往哪里去我卻不知道。你們快快地去追趕，就必追上。

　　And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate， when it was dark， that the men went out： whither the men went I wot not： pursue after them quickly； for ye shall overtake them.

　　2：6 （先是女人領(lǐng)二人上了房頂，將他們藏在那里所擺的麻秸中。）

　　But she had brought them up to the roof of the house， and hid them with the stalks of flax， which she had laid in order upon the roof.

　　2：7 那些人就往約旦河的渡口追趕他們?nèi)チ恕Ｗ汾s他們的人一出去，城門就關(guān)了。

　　And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords： and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out， they shut the gate.

　　2：8 二人還沒(méi)有躺臥，女人就上房頂，到他們那里，And before they were laid down， she came up unto them upon the roof；

　　2：9 對(duì)他們說(shuō)，我知道耶和華已經(jīng)把這地賜給你們，并且因你們的緣故我們都驚慌了。這地的一切居民在你們面前心都消化了。

　　And she said unto the men， I know that the LORD hath given you the land， and that your terror is fallen upon us， and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.

　　2：10 因?yàn)槲覀兟?tīng)見(jiàn)你們出埃及的時(shí)候，耶和華怎樣在你們前面使紅海的水乾了，并且你們?cè)鯓哟s旦河?xùn)|的兩個(gè)亞摩利王西宏和噩，將他們盡行毀滅。

　　For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you， when ye came out of Egypt； and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites， that were on the other side Jordan， Sihon and Og， whom ye utterly destroyed.

　　2：11 我們一聽(tīng)見(jiàn)這些事，心就消化了。因你們的緣故，并無(wú)一人有膽氣。耶和華你們的神本是上天下地的神。

　　And as soon as we had heard these things， our hearts did melt， neither did there remain any more courage in any man， because of you： for the LORD your God， he is God in heaven above， and in earth beneath.

　　2：12 現(xiàn)在我既是恩待你們，求你們指著耶和華向我起誓，也要恩待我父家，并給我一個(gè)實(shí)在的證據(jù)，Now therefore， I pray you， swear unto me by the LORD， since I have shewed you kindness， that ye will also shew kindness unto my father's house， and give me a true token：

　　2：13 要救活我的父母，弟兄，姊妹，和一切屬他們的，拯救我們性命不死。

　　And that ye will save alive my father， and my mother， and my brethren， and my sisters， and all that they have， and deliver our lives from death.

　　2：14 二人對(duì)她說(shuō)，你若不泄漏我們這件事，我們情愿替你們死。耶和華將這地賜給我們的時(shí)候，我們必以慈愛(ài)誠(chéng)實(shí)待你。

　　And the men answered her， Our life for yours， if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be， when the LORD hath given us the land， that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.

　　2：15 于是女人用繩子將二人從窗戶里縋下去。因她的房子是在城墻邊上，她也住在城墻上。

　　Then she let them down by a cord through the window： for her house was upon the town wall， and she dwelt upon the wall.

　　2：16 她對(duì)他們說(shuō)，你們且往山上去，恐怕追趕的人碰見(jiàn)你們。要在那里隱藏三天，等追趕的人回來(lái)，然后才可以走你們的路。

　　And she said unto them， Get you to the mountain， lest the pursuers meet you； and hide yourselves there three days， until the pursuers be returned： and afterward may ye go your way.

　　2：17 二人對(duì)她說(shuō)，你要這樣行。不然，你叫我們所起的誓就與我們無(wú)干了。

　　And the men said unto her， We will be blameless of this thine oath which thou hast made us swear.

　　2：18 我們來(lái)到這地的時(shí)候，你要把這條朱紅線繩系在縋我們下去的窗戶上，并要使你的父母，弟兄，和你父的全家都聚集在你家中。

　　Behold， when we come into the land， thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by： and thou shalt bring thy father， and thy mother， and thy brethren， and all thy father's household， home unto thee.

　　2：19 凡出了你家門往街上去的，他的罪（罪原文作血）必歸到自己的頭上，與我們無(wú)干了。凡在你家里的，若有人下手害他，流他血的罪就歸到我們的頭上。

　　And it shall be， that whosoever shall go out of the doors of thy house into the street， his blood shall be upon his head， and we will be guiltless： and whosoever shall be with thee in the house， his blood shall be on our head， if any hand be upon him.

　　2：20 你若泄漏我們這件事，你叫我們所起的誓就與我們無(wú)干了。

　　And if thou utter this our business， then we will be quit of thine oath which thou hast made us to swear.

　　2：21 女人說(shuō)，照你們的話行吧。于是打發(fā)他們?nèi)チ耍职阎旒t線繩系在窗戶上。

　　And she said， According unto your words， so be it. And she sent them away， and they departed： and she bound the scarlet line in the window.

　　2：22 二人到山上，在那里住了三天，等著追趕的人回去了。追趕的人一路找他們，卻找不著。

　　And they went， and came unto the mountain， and abode there three days， until the pursuers were returned： and the pursuers sought them throughout all the way， but found them not.

　　2：23 二人就下山回來(lái)，過(guò)了河，到嫩的兒子約書亞那里，向他述說(shuō)所遭遇的一切事。

　　So the two men returned， and descended from the mountain， and passed over， and came to Joshua the son of Nun， and told him all things that befell them：

　　2：24 又對(duì)約書亞說(shuō)，耶和華果然將那全地交在我們手中。那地的一切居民在我們面前心都消化了。

　　And they said unto Joshua， Truly the LORD hath delivered into our hands all the land； for even all the inhabitants of the country do faint because of us.
