舊約 -- 箴言(Proverbs) -- 第12章
12：1 喜愛管教的，就是喜愛知識。恨惡責備的，卻是畜類。
Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge： but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
12：2 善人必蒙耶和華的嗯惠。設詭計的人，耶和華必定他得罪。
A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD： but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
12：3 人靠惡行不能堅立。義人的根，必不動搖。
A man shall not be established by wickedness： but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
12：4 才德的婦人，是丈夫的冠冕。貽羞的婦人，如同朽爛在他丈夫的骨中。
A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband： but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
12：5 義人的思念是公平。惡人的計謀是詭詐。
The thoughts of the righteous are right： but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
12：6 惡人的言論，是埋伏流人的血。正直人的口，必拯救人。
The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood： but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
12：7 惡人傾覆，歸于無有。義人的家，必站得住。
The wicked are overthrown， and are not： but the house of the righteous shall stand.
12：8 人必按自己的智慧被稱贊。心中乖謬的，必被藐視。
A man shall be commended according to his wisdom： but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
12：9 被人輕賤，卻有仆人，強如自尊，缺少食物。
He that is despised， and hath a servant， is better than he that honoureth himself， and lacketh bread.
12：10 義人顧惜他牲畜的命。惡人的憐憫，也是殘忍。
A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast： but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
12：11 耕種自己田地的，必得飽食。追隨虛浮的，卻是無知。
He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread： but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.
12：12 惡人想得壞人的網(wǎng)羅。義人的根，得以結實。
The wicked desireth the net of evil men： but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
12：13 惡人嘴中的過錯，是自己的網(wǎng)羅。但義人必脫離患難。
The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips： but the just shall come out of trouble.
12：14 人因口所結的果子，必飽得美福。人手所作的，必為自己的報應。
A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth： and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.
12：15 愚妄人所行的，在自己的眼中看為正直。惟智慧人，肯聽人的勸教。
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes： but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
12：16 愚妄人的惱怒，立時顯露。通達人能忍辱藏羞。
A fool's wrath is presently known： but a prudent man covereth shame.
12：17 說出真話的，顯明公義。作假見證的，顯出詭詐。
He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness： but a false witness deceit.
12：18 說話浮躁的，如刀刺人。智慧人的舌頭，卻為醫(yī)人的良藥。
There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword： but the tongue of the wise is health.
12：19 口吐真言，永遠堅立。舌說謊話，只存片時。
The lip of truth shall be established for ever： but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
12：20 圖謀惡事的，心存詭詐。勸人和睦的，便得喜樂。
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil： but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
12：21 義人不遭災害惡人滿受禍患。
There shall no evil happen to the just： but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
12：22 說謊言的嘴，為耶和華所憎惡。行事誠實的，為他所喜悅。
Lying lips are abomination to the LORD： but they that deal truly are his delight.
12：23 通達人隱藏知識。愚昧人的心，彰顯愚昧。
A prudent man concealeth knowledge： but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
12：24 殷勤人的手必掌權。懶惰的人必服苦。
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule： but the slothful shall be under tribute.
12：25 人心憂慮，屈而不伸。一句良言，使心歡樂。
Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop： but a good word maketh it glad.
12：26 義人引導他的鄰舍。惡人的道，叫人失迷。
The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour： but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
12：27 懶惰的人，不烤打獵所得的。殷勤的人，卻得寶貴的財物。
The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting： but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
12：28 在公義的道上有生命。其路之中，并無死亡。
In the way of righteousness is life： and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
