17：1 論大馬士革的默示。看哪，大馬士革已被廢棄，不再為城，必變作亂堆。

　　The burden of Damascus. Behold， Damascus is taken away from being a city， and it shall be a ruinous heap.

　　17：2 亞羅珥的城邑，已被撇棄。必成為牧羊之處，羊在那里躺臥，無人驚嚇。

　　The cities of Aroer are forsaken： they shall be for flocks， which shall lie down， and none shall make them afraid.

　　17：3 以法蓮不再有保障。大馬士革不再有國權，亞蘭所剩下的，必像以色列人的榮耀消滅一樣。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

　　The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim， and the kingdom from Damascus， and the remnant of Syria： they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel， saith the LORD of hosts.

　　17：4 到那日雅各的榮耀，必至枵薄，他肥胖的身體，必漸瘦弱。

　　And in that day it shall come to pass， that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin， and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

　　17：5 就必像收割的人，收斂禾稼，用手割取穗子。又像人在利乏音谷拾取遺落的穗子。

　　And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn， and reapeth the ears with his arm； and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.

　　17：6 其間所剩下的不多，好像人打橄欖樹，在盡上的枝梢上，只剩兩三個果子，在多果樹的旁枝上，只剩四五個果子。這是耶和華以色列的神說的。

　　Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it， as the shaking of an olive tree， two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough， four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof， saith the LORD God of Israel.

　　17：7 當那日人必仰望造他們的主，眼目重看以色列的圣者。

　　At that day shall a man look to his Maker， and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.

　　17：8 他們必不仰望祭壇，就是自己手所筑的，也不重看自己指頭所作的，無論是木偶，或日像。

　　And he shall not look to the altars， the work of his hands， neither shall respect that which his fingers have made， either the groves， or the images.

　　17：9 在那日他們的堅固城，必像樹林中和山頂上所撇棄的地方，就是從前在以色列人面前被人撇棄的。這樣，地就荒涼了。

　　In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough， and an uppermost branch， which they left because of the children of Israel： and there shall be desolation.

　　17：10 因你忘記救你的神，不記念你能力的磐石。所以你栽上佳美的樹秧子，插上異樣的栽子。

　　Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation， and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength， therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants， and shalt set it with strange slips：

　　17：11 栽種的日子，你周圍圈上籬笆，又到早晨使你所種的開花。但在愁苦極其傷痛的日子，所收割的，都飛去了。

　　In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow， and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish： but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.

　　17：12 唉，多民哄囔，好像海浪？？訇，列邦奔騰，好像猛水滔滔。

　　Woe to the multitude of many people， which make a noise like the noise of the seas； and to the rushing of nations， that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters！

　　17：13 列邦奔騰，好像多水滔滔。但神斥責他們，他們就遠遠逃避，又被追趕，如同山上的風前糠，又如暴風前的旋風土。

　　The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters： but God shall rebuke them， and they shall flee far off， and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind， and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

　　17：14 到晚上有驚嚇，未到早晨他們就沒有了。這是擄掠我們之人所得的分，是搶奪我們之人的報應。

　　And behold at eveningtide trouble； and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us， and the lot of them that rob us.
