幸福是一段旅程

We convince ourselves that life will be better，after we get married, have a baby, then another.                                       我們總是相信，等我們結了婚，生了一個又一個的孩子之后，生活就會更美好。

Then we're frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are.

等有了孩子，我們又因為他們總長不大而煩惱，想著等他們大些時，我們就會開心了。

After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with.

接著，他們進入青春期，我們又煩惱了，

We'll certainly be happy when they're out of that stage.

于是又相信等他們過了這一階段，幸福就會到來。

We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together,

我們總是告訴自己，等我們的配偶做事更有效率時，

when we get a nicer car,are able to go on a nice vacation,when we retire.

等我們擁有更好的車，等我們能去度一次美妙的假期，等我們退休后，我們的生活一定會完美的。

The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now.

而事實的真相是，沒有任何時刻比現在更寶貴。

If not now, when?

倘若不是現在，又會是何時？

Your life will always be filled with challenges.

我們的生活每時每刻都會有挑戰。

It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway.

最好是讓自己接受這一事實，無論如何使自己保持快樂的心境。

One of my favorite quotes comes from Alfred D. Souza.

我很欣賞艾爾弗雷德?蘇澤的一段名言。

He said, "For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin-real life.

他說：“長期以來，我都覺得生活—真正的生活似乎即將開始。

But there was always some obstacle in the way,

可是總會遇到某種障礙，

something to be gotten through first,

得先完成一些事情。

some unfinished business,

做沒做完的工作，

time still to be served, or a debt to be paid.

要奉獻的時間，該付的債等等。

Then life would begin.

之后生活才會開始。

At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life."

最后我醒悟過來了，這些障礙本身就是我的生活。”

This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness.

這一觀點讓我意識到沒有什么通往幸福的道路。

Happiness is the way.

幸福本身就是路。

So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it withsomeone special,

所以，珍惜你擁有的每一刻，而且你要加倍珍惜，因為你在與某個特殊的人，

special enough to spend your time with...

特殊到你愿意花時間和他相處的人一起分享這段時光。

and remember that time waits for no one.

而且要記住，時不我待。

So, stop waiting until you finish school,

所以，不要再作所謂的等待—等你上完學，

until you go back to school,

等你再回到學校；

until you lose ten pounds,

等你減掉10磅體重，

until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids,

等你長胖了10磅；等你有了孩子，

until your kids leave the house, until you start work,

或孩子長大離開家；等你開始工作

until you retire, until you get married,

或等你退休；等你結了婚，

until you get divorced, until Friday night,

等你離了婚；等到了周五晚上，

until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home,

等到了周日早上；等你有了新車或新房；

until your car or home is paid off,

等你的付清新車或者新房的債務；

until spring, until summer, until fall, until winter,

等春天來臨；等到了夏天；等到了秋天；等到了冬天；

until you're off welfare, until the first or fifteenth,

等到你不再靠福利救濟；等到了1號或者15號；

until your song comes on, until you've had a drink,

等到屬于你的歌曲到來，等到你喝過酒了，

until you've sobered up, until you die,

等到你酒醒了；等到你死了，

until you're born again to decide that there is no better time than right now to be happy.

等你有幸再來世上走一遭才明白此時此刻最應享受快樂。

Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

幸福是一個旅程，而不是終點站。

So, Work like you don't need money;

所以，投入地工作吧，就像你根本不需要錢一樣；

Love like you've never been hurt;

盡情去愛吧，就像你從未被傷害過；

And dance like no one's watching.

縱情地起舞吧，就像根本無人在旁欣賞一樣。
