Two Gooses
My Uncle from Vermont was mailing an order to his butcher in Boston． First he bagan the note,"Kindly send twogooses．" That didn't seem right, so he started over again with "Kindly send two geeses．" Still he wasn't satisfied． He settled this dilemma by writing finally,"Kindly send me a goose." Then he signed his name and added a P．S．"Send another one with it．"

我的叔叔從佛蒙特州給他在波士頓的屠夫郵寄了一份訂單。原先他的便條是這樣開頭的：“請寄來一雙鵝。”那樣講似乎不對，因此他重新寫道：“請寄來一對鵝。”他還是不滿意。最后他解決了這個難題，寫道：“請寄來一只鵝。”然后簽上 自已的姓名，加上“又及：同時再寄一只鵝。”
