有錢的父親
A Rich Father
John D．Rocke feller, the wellknown millionaire, gave away millions, but he himself was very mean about small sums of money． One day he went to stay at a hotel in New York and asked for the cheapest room in it． He said, "I am staying here alone and only need a small room．"
The manager showed him into a room and said, "This is our smallest and cheapest room," and added, "but why do you choose a poor room like this? When your son stays here, he always has our most expensive room ；yours is our cheapest．"
"Oh! yes," said Rockefeller, "but his father is a rich man; mine isn't．"
有錢的父親
著名的百萬富翁，約翰·D洛克菲勒，捐款達(dá)數(shù)百萬元，但他本人在小錢上卻非常節(jié)儉。有一天，他去住紐約的一家旅館，要旅館里最便宜的房間。他說：“我一個(gè)人住在這兒，只需要一個(gè)小房間。”
旅館經(jīng)理領(lǐng)他到一個(gè)房間里，說：“這是我們這里最小最便宜的房間。”接著又說：“可是你為什么要選這么差勁的房間呢？你兒子每次住在我們這里，都要最貴的房間；而你卻住最便宜的。”
“啊！是這樣。”洛克菲勒說：“但是他的父親是個(gè)有錢人；我的父親卻不是。”
