Dictionary
A dictionary is like a teacher who never sleeps. Whenever you come across a new word， just consult it and you will get the right meaning. Every student should have a dictionary at hand. As a study aid， it is convenient， inexpensive and very helpful.
Skills will develop with your continual use of various dictionaries. The more you use them， the more familiar you will become with them. In time you will become quite skilled in finding the page， scanning the entries and locating the meaning of new words.
But you should keep one thing in mind. As a language student， you should never become to much attached to dictionaries. Basic language skills do not come from dictionaries but from your practice. Expose yourself to the language by listening， speaking， reading and writing more and that is the only way to master a language.
