鷸蚌相爭(zhēng)
一只河蚌張開蚌殼，在河灘上曬太陽(yáng)。有只鷸(yù)鳥，從河蚌身邊走過(guò)，就伸嘴去啄河蚌的肉。河蚌急忙把兩片殼合上，把鷸嘴緊緊地鉗住。鷸鳥用盡力氣，怎么也拔不出嘴來(lái)。蚌也脫不了身，不能回河里去了。河蚌和鷸鳥就爭(zhēng)吵起來(lái)。鷸鳥說(shuō)：“一天、兩天不下雨，沒(méi)有了水，回不了河，你總是要死的!”河蚌也說(shuō)：“假如我不放你，一天、兩天之后，你的嘴拔不出去，你也別想活，總要餓死!”河蚌和鷸鳥吵個(gè)不停，誰(shuí)也不讓誰(shuí)。這時(shí)，恰好有個(gè)打魚的人從那里走過(guò)，就把它們兩個(gè)一起捉去了。現(xiàn)在用來(lái)比喻雙方相持不下，結(jié)果兩敗俱傷，讓第三者得利。
