Is Campus love Good or Bad?
閱讀 : 次
When it comes to the topic of campus love, a question as to whether should college
students develop a romantic relationship during their academic years is under heated discussion. Some people worry that campus love may affect students’ study, but others say that it facilitates students’ campus lives. That is, is campus love good or bad? As far as I am concerned, it is not good for most college students to have s relationship.
Love is time-consuming and influences one’s learning. In college, being far away from home and alone, students have much more free time and personal space than ev
-er before so that some of them regard love as a way of killing time. In most cases, a person in love lags behind in his studies. Of these students, they leave their major study aside, staying together with their girlfriends or boyfriends nearly all day long. Spending too much time together not only leaves them each other little time to study but does harm for them to develop other relationships. For the sake of learning and developing interpersonal relationship, I advise that students falling in love should balance their time between study and dating.
In addition, maintaining a romantic relationship costs part of the students’ life expense, which will aggravate their family economic burden. For the majority of campus couples, they dine out of the campus more than once a week, much less going shopping or going to the movie. Still financially depending on their parents, college students, especially those students who come from poor families, spend extra cost on love, which certainly increases their parents’ financial burden. For spending too much time together with their love, they have no time to take a part-time job.
Having a romantic relationship, of course, will make us college students very happy, but while losing it, you always feel disappointed and depressed, which sometimes will bring about many psychological problems. When a romantic relationship is broken up, some students, especially girls, have no mind for going on studying as usual or sink lament or even become crazy such as suicide.
From the listed disadvantages of campus love, including a wasting of time, badly affecting our study, an increased burden on our family finance, and causing psychological problems, it is obvious that having a romantic relationship during our college life is not good.
