臥談會(huì)之我見(jiàn) My View on Bedtime Chat in College Dorms

Many college students stay up very late at night chatting in bed. They chat on various subjects, such as study, love, society and future. Sometimes their chat goes on and on and seems to lead nowhere. Views on this common phenomenon in college life vary from person to person. To my way of thinking, bedtime chat is beneficial for students.

很多大學(xué)生晚上熬夜很晚開(kāi)臥談會(huì)。他們聊各種各樣的話題，比如學(xué)習(xí)，愛(ài)情，社會(huì)和未來(lái)等等。有時(shí)候他們聊著聊著就不知道聊到哪去了。對(duì)大學(xué)生活這一普遍現(xiàn)象的看法因人而異。以我的思維方式來(lái)看，臥談會(huì)對(duì)學(xué)生是有益的。

First of all, bedtime chat is good for freshmen at college. Students from all over the country are naturally curious about each other. Bedtime chat seems to be a good answer to their curiosity. Through a good bedtime chat, students in the same dorm would soon earn about each other's likes and dislikes, which can result in a better understanding among roommates. Secondly, it is inevitable to chat on study in bed. Bedtime chat helps with academic development in that it makes up for what each has missed in their daytime lessons. Thirdly, bedtime chat helps broaden students' horizon. This is especially true when the roommates are of a diverse set in terms of culture and geography. Different customs reflecting a different culture and different scenery representing their respective geographical conditions are referred to and shared in their chat, which is not only enjoyable but also beneficial. However, one can never neglect the fact that a bedtime chat carried on for too long will eat much into their time for sleep and affect study the following day.

首先，臥談會(huì)對(duì)大學(xué)新生是有好處的。來(lái)自全國(guó)各地的學(xué)生自然會(huì)互相好奇。臥談會(huì)似乎是他們好奇心的一個(gè)好答案。通過(guò)一次很好的臥談會(huì)，同一寢室的學(xué)生會(huì)很快了解彼此的喜惡，這樣能夠帶來(lái)室友間的互相理解。其次，睡覺(jué)時(shí)談?wù)搶W(xué)習(xí)是不可避免的。臥談會(huì)有助于學(xué)術(shù)發(fā)展是因?yàn)樗鼜浹a(bǔ)了每個(gè)人白天上課錯(cuò)過(guò)的知識(shí)。再次，臥談會(huì)有助于拓寬學(xué)生的視野。當(dāng)室友們文化地理背景存在差異的時(shí)候，這一點(diǎn)尤其正確。不同的風(fēng)俗反映了不同的文化，不同的風(fēng)景展現(xiàn)了他們各自的地理環(huán)境，這些都會(huì)在談話中涉及或分享到，這樣不僅是享受的而且是有益的。但是，不能忽略的事實(shí)是，臥談會(huì)持續(xù)時(shí)間太長(zhǎng)的話會(huì)占用太多睡眠時(shí)間從而影響第二天的學(xué)習(xí)。

In a word, I firmly believe that bedtime chat in dorms at college has much more advantages than disadvantages only if it doesn't go on for too long.

總之，我堅(jiān)信，只要持續(xù)時(shí)間不是太長(zhǎng)，大學(xué)里的寢室臥談會(huì)利大于弊。
