The olympic games
The Olympic games are held every four years. Thewinter Olympics are usually held two years before thesummerOlympics. The old Olympic games beganaround the year 776 B.C. in Greece. After about theyear 393 A.D., the Olympic games stopped. The firstOlympic games in modern times took place in 1896. 311 competitors took part in the games. In 1992,more than 8000 competitors from over 150 differentcounties went to Barcelona for the 25th Olympics. There were 250 different sports in thegames. In Barcelona, the Chinese team got 16 golden metals of which 12 were won by women.

奧林匹克運動會每四年舉行一次，冬季奧運會一般在夏季奧運會的前兩年舉行。以前的奧運會在公元前776年的希臘舉行，差不多在公元393年的時候，奧運會停止了。最初的現代奧運會在1896年舉行，311位競爭對手選出一部分去參賽。1992年，150個不同的國家的8000多位競爭對手到巴塞羅那參加第25屆奧運會，一共有250個不同的運動項目。在巴塞羅那，中國隊得到了16塊金牌其中12個是女運動員。
