For kids, it is a tradition that they put stockings in the chimney, the Santa Claus will bring them gifts that night. Actually, the gifts that the kids get are from their parents, the Santa Claus is their parents. Christmas Eve is like Chinese New Year’s Eve, both are important, the culture between Chinaand western countries has something in common.
平安夜很快就要到來了，這在圣誕節的前天——12月24號。一開始，圣誕節在西方國家很流行，隨著全球化的發展，平安夜成為了世界性的節日。在那天，人們裝飾圣誕樹，家人吃晚飯，所有的成員聚集在一起，坐在火爐旁，聊天，唱歌。夜晚人們有很多的活動，年輕人喜歡參加派對或者假面舞會，派對進行一整晚，慶祝圣誕節的到來。對于小孩子來說，他們把長筒襪房子煙囪里，這是一個傳統，圣誕老人就會在晚上給他們帶來禮物。實際上，孩子們得到的禮物是父母給的，圣誕老人就是他們的父母。平安夜就像中國的除夕夜，兩個都很重要，中國和西方國家的文化有相同性。
