2017英語專業八級作文話題：暑期學車

　　During the summer vacation, some students choose to climb mountains, some volunteer, andsome think learning how to drive a car is a vital skill for their future. But with tough weatherconditions, tough driving instructors and even tougher requirements for getting a license,students not only learn a skill but also a lesson for life.

　　暑假期間，有的學生選擇去登山，有的投身志愿者活動，也有人認為學會開車是關系到未來的一項重要技能。然而，面對惡劣的天氣，嚴厲的教練以及越來越高的駕照門檻，學生們不僅是在學習一門技能，更是經歷一次人生的歷練。

　　Endurance test

　　Zhang Li, 19, a sophomore majoring in botany at Yunnan University, nearly lost confidencewhen he learned to drive at a local driving school.

　　19歲的張力(音譯)是來自云南大學植物學專業的一名大二學生。當他在當地一所駕校學開車時，自信心受到嚴重打擊。

　　“The driving instructor easily got angry about my performance. A lot of students want to learnhow to drive in the summer vacation and let’s face it, we make a lot of rookie mistakes, whichreally gets on their nerves, ” says Zhang.

　　張力說：“教練動不動就對我的表現大為光火。很多學生暑假扎堆學車，這是不爭的事實，加上我們是新手所以常會犯些低級錯誤，這就讓教練很頭疼。”

　　But the constant criticism made Zhang feel bad about himself, as if he was too stupid to learnhow to drive. Through his parents’ advice, however, he started seeing it as an endurance test.

　　一次次的批評令張力信心盡失，就好像他根本就不是開車的料。而父母的一席話卻點醒了他，從那以后他便將學車看成是一次耐力測試。

　　“It will be important to keep calm at all times when driving on public roads in the future, so Ithink it’s a good preparation, ” says Zhang.

　　張力說：“以后上路開車時，始終保持鎮定這點十分重要，所以我覺得這是一次很好的演練。”

　　Wei Ruolin, 22, a senior majoring in law at Sun Yat-sen University, was one of the manystudents at the driving school this summer waiting patiently for her lesson to begin. But whenWei finally got behind the wheel next to the instructor, she almost caused an accident.

　　今年夏天，許多學生都在駕校里耐心排隊練車，中山大學法律系大四學生、22歲的魏若琳(音譯)便是其中之一。但當最終輪到她練車時，坐在教練身旁的她卻險些釀成車禍。

　　“I forgot to check the position of the rear- and side-view mirrors before I started driving. Icouldn’t see anything on both sides as the mirrors were folded in. I tried to adjust them whiledriving, but I nearly lost control of the car as I was distracted. It was very dangerous, ” Weisays.

　　魏若琳說：“開車前我忘記檢查后視鏡與側視鏡了。由于鏡子是收起來的，所以我看不到兩邊的路況。開車時我試著調整它們，由于我注意力無法集中，車子幾乎失控。十分危險。”

　　When you get into the driving seat, don’t hurry to start the engine, but check everything andmake any necessary adjustments before moving off.

　　當你坐在駕駛席上時，不要急于發動汽車，而是要在開車前先檢查一邊并做出相應的調整。

　　Difficult rules

　　Huang Shunlin, 22, a senior majoring in management at Central China Normal University,failed the test for traffic rules three times, even though the majority of the test is based oncommon sense. But then Huang thought of how many points he would lose on his drivinglicense and the money he would be fined if he kept violating the traffic rules and didn’t learnthem well.

　　盡管交規考試的試題大都是一些常識，但華中師范大學管理專業大四學生、22歲的黃順林(音譯)還是先后三次失利。而稍后黃順林腦海中浮現的是，如果不好好學習并一直違反交規的話，那么自己的駕照要被扣多少分，以及要交多少的罰款。

　　“I didn’t pay much attention to the test at first and failed it several times, ” says Huang. “WhenI finally treated it like a real test and prepared with my friend’s help, it was easy and I learnedmany things to keep me safe on the road.”

　　黃順林說：“對于交規考試，起初我并沒有太上心，結果幾次考試都以失敗告終。最終，我決定把它當做一次真正的測試，并在朋友的幫助下做了準備，事實證明交規考試并不難，而且我也學到了許多行車安全知識。”
