　　The 19-year-old freshman at Shanghai University “sells” her monthly expenses online,exclusively to her parents of course, as a creative way of financing campus life in Shanghai.

　　這位就讀于上海大學(xué)的19歲大一新生選擇在網(wǎng)上“出售”自己每月的開銷，當(dāng)然客戶群只面向自己的父母。此舉開創(chuàng)了上海高校學(xué)生理財(cái)?shù)南群印?/p>

　　Managing budgets has long been a headache for freshmen, according to experts. Mostlysupported by their family, college students find it challenging to deal with their finances andthe surveillance of their patrons.

　　專家表示，理財(cái)一直以來都是大一新生們的一塊心病。由于大學(xué)生大都由家長資助，他們也發(fā)現(xiàn)如何去理財(cái)、應(yīng)對父母監(jiān)督是件棘手的事。

　　The administration’s ban on college student credit cards has not kept Li Jianxing, a freshmanat Shaanxi Normal University, from getting a supplementary card through his father’s creditaccount.

　　雖然有關(guān)部門叫停了大學(xué)生信用卡，但陜西師范大學(xué)的大一新生李建興(音譯)還是從父親那里拿到了一張信用卡附卡。

　　Even so, the 18-year-old hates it. Every time Li swipes the card, his parents call to check whathe purchased and, more annoyingly, why.

　　即便如此，18歲的他對此深惡痛絕。每次李建興一刷卡，他的父母都會打電話問買了什么，更頭疼的是，還要問購物緣由。

　　“I feel like they’re spying on me,” says Li. “Plus, they can check my whereabouts simplythrough short messages from the bank.”

　　“我感覺像他們在監(jiān)視我，”李建興說。“此外，他們可以通過銀行發(fā)送的短信輕松掌握我的全部行蹤。”

　　At least there is some good news for Li: He has not yet exceeded his monthly budget of 2,000yuan since becoming a college student, whereas many of his peers are struggling with financialcrises from overspending.

　　對于李建興而言，至少還有好消息：他自從升入大學(xué)后，從未超出過每月2000元的預(yù)算，而他身邊的很多同伴都因過度開銷而身陷財(cái)務(wù)危機(jī)。

　　According to Zhu Hanyu, from the general management office of Xinjiang AgriculturalUniversity, it is quite common for students to lose control of their finances on campus.

　　來自新疆農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)綜合管理辦公室的朱涵宇(音譯)表示，大學(xué)生開銷失控的狀況十分普遍。

　　“Before college, everything is taken care of by parents and family,” said Zhu. “Now, without anappreciation for budget control, they are running out of money before they even know it.”

　　“升入大學(xué)前，一切都有父母以及家長的照料，”朱涵宇說。“如今，由于缺乏預(yù)算控制方面的認(rèn)識，還沒來得及發(fā)現(xiàn)，便已‘彈盡糧絕’了。”

　　This is why Zhu thinks parental control over their offspring’s budget is necessary.

　　朱涵宇認(rèn)為，這正是父母需要掌控子女理財(cái)大權(quán)的原因。

　　Gao Min from the student affairs office of Shenzhen University, however, disagrees. He said thatlearning to spend and save money is the most pressing lesson for freshmen to gainindependence.

　　而來自深圳大學(xué)學(xué)生事務(wù)處的高民(音譯)卻并不認(rèn)同這一觀點(diǎn)。他說學(xué)會消費(fèi)以及儲蓄是大一新生獲得獨(dú)立的當(dāng)務(wù)之急。

　　“Experiencing the anxiety and pressure of bad financing is good for students to learn,” saidGao. “Students have been controlled for too long.”

　　“對于學(xué)生而言，能夠體驗(yàn)到財(cái)務(wù)危機(jī)帶來的那份焦慮與壓力并非是壞事，”高民說。“學(xué)生們已經(jīng)以前被管得太久了。”

　　Some students say that parental control actually causes them more pressure on campus.

　　一些學(xué)生表示，事實(shí)上，家長的管控為自己的校園生活更添壓力。

　　Qu Xingxin’s parents request an accounting record of daily expenditures from their son everymonth. The 19-year-old freshman at Jinan University says it takes a lot of time and energy torecord every trivial purchase.

　　每個月，曲星新(音譯)的父母都要求他給出一份記錄日常開銷的賬本。這名來自濟(jì)南大學(xué)的19歲新生表示，記錄這些瑣碎的開銷實(shí)在是件既耗時又費(fèi)力的事。

　　“I understand that my parents worked hard to support my studies, but I feel that I am still ahigh school student who has to report everything back to my parents.”

　　“我理解父母辛辛苦苦供我讀書十分不易，但我感覺自己還像是一名高中生，所有事都要向父母匯報(bào)。”

　　Gao suggests that consistency and communication would help both freshmen and parents.

　　高民表示，言行一致與保持溝通或許可以助新生與家長一臂之力。

　　“Students need to show parents that they can keep on top of a budget by restraining theirspending habits,” said Gao. “But parents need to let go, even if they know their child willexperience problems.”

　　“學(xué)生需要讓父母知道，他們可以通過控制自己的消費(fèi)習(xí)慣來掌控預(yù)算，”高民說。“而家長則應(yīng)該放開手，即便他們清楚子女不免會遇到一些問題。”

　　As for Shen’s online shop: She has adapted to college life for the time being and her parentsare happy to see that the “monthly expense” price tag is falling.

　　就拿沈君一的網(wǎng)店來說：她目前已經(jīng)習(xí)慣了大學(xué)生活，而她的父母也開心地看到“每月開支”正在降價(jià)。

　　“My mother said taking control of money is my first step into adulthood,” said Shen.

　　“媽媽說，理財(cái)是我邁向成人世界的第一步。”沈君一說道。
