once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: happiness, sadness, knowledge, and all of the others, including love. one day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. except for love.
love was the only one who stayed. love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.
when the island had almost sunk, love decided to ask for help.
richness was passing by love in a grand boat. love said,
"richness, can you take me with you?"
richness answered, "no, i can't. there is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. there is no place here for you."
love decided to ask vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "vanity, please help me!"
"i can't help you, love. you are all wet and might damage my boat," vanity answered.
sadness was close by so love asked, "sadness, let me go with you."
"oh . . . love, i am so sad that i need to be by myself!"
happiness passed by love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when love called her.
suddenly, there was a voice, "come, love, i will take you." it was an elder. so blessed and overjoyed, love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. when they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. realizing how much was owed the elder, love asked knowledge, another elder, "who helped me?"
"it was time," knowledge answered.
"time?" asked love. "but why did time help me?"

在從前，有個小島上住著各種各樣的情感：有幸福，悲傷，聰慧，還有其他各種情感，還有愛情。有一天，他們被告知小島即將沉沒，大家伙都紛紛建造小船紛紛離去。只有愛情對此不是很“感冒”。

“財富，能載我離開這里么？”
財富回道：“不可以，我的船里面載滿了金銀，這里可沒空地容你。”
愛情打算向駕著漂亮的船兒同時也路過這里的虛榮求救。“虛榮，請你幫幫我吧。”
虛榮回道：“我可幫不到你的忙，”“可你渾身濕碌碌的，說不定會弄壞我的船呢。”
悲傷路過愛情的身邊，于是愛情乞求道：“悲傷，帶我一起離開這里吧。”
“哦...，愛情，我太傷感了，我只想自己一個人呆著。”
快樂也路過愛情這里，但是她太興奮了以至于她根本沒有注意聽到愛情的哀求聲。
就在這個時候，突然耳邊響起了聲音，“過來吧，愛情，我帶你來離開這里。”這聲音是為長者的。由于愛情終于能離開這里而太愉快而且太欣喜過望，以至于他連問長者他們一快將駛向哪里都沒有提及。當他們一行到了干涸的土地上后，長者徑直離開了。愛情意識到自己虧欠了這位長者太多后，他開口向另一位被稱為智慧的長者問道：“那為幫我的人是誰呢？”
