39：1 山巖間的野山羊幾時生產，你知道嗎。母鹿下犢之期，你能察定嗎。

　　Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth？ or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve？

　　39：2 它們懷胎的月數，你能數算嗎。它們幾時生產，你能曉得嗎。

　　Canst thou number the months that they fulfil？ or knowest thou the time when they bring forth？

　　39：3 它們屈身，將子生下，就除掉疼痛。

　　They bow themselves， they bring forth their young ones， they cast out their sorrows.

　　39：4 這子漸漸肥壯，在荒野長大，去而不回。

　　Their young ones are in good liking， they grow up with corn； they go forth， and return not unto them.

　　39：5 誰放野驢出去自由。誰解開快驢的繩索。

　　Who hath sent out the wild ass free？ or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass？

　　39：6 我使曠野作它的住處，使咸地當它的居所。

　　Whose house I have made the wilderness， and the barren land his dwellings.

　　39：7 它嗤笑城內的喧囔，不聽趕牲口的喝聲。

　　He scorneth the multitude of the city， neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.

　　39：8 遍山是它的草場。它尋梢各樣青綠之物。

　　The range of the mountains is his pasture， and he searcheth after every green thing.

　　39：9 野牛豈肯服事你。豈肯住在你的槽旁。

　　Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee， or abide by thy crib？

　　39：10 你豈能用套繩將野牛籠在犁溝之間。它豈肯隨你耙山谷之地。

　　Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow？ or will he harrow the valleys after thee？

　　39：11 豈可因它的力大就倚靠它。豈可把你的工交給它做嗎。

　　Wilt thou trust him， because his strength is great？ or wilt thou leave thy labour to him？

　　39：12 豈可信靠它把你的糧食運到家，又收聚你禾場上的谷嗎。

　　Wilt thou believe him， that he will bring home thy seed， and gather it into thy barn？

　　39：13 鴕鳥的翅膀歡然扇展，豈是顯慈愛的翎毛和羽毛嗎。

　　Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks？ or wings and feathers unto the ostrich？

　　39：14 因它把蛋留在地上，在塵土中使得溫暖。

　　Which leaveth her eggs in the earth， and warmeth them in dust，

　　39：15 卻想不到被腳踹碎，或被野獸踐踏。

　　And forgetteth that the foot may crush them， or that the wild beast may break them.

　　39：16 它忍心待雛，似乎不是自己的。雖然徒受勞苦，也不為雛懼怕。

　　She is hardened against her young ones， as though they were not hers： her labour is in vain without fear；

　　39：17 因為神使它沒有智慧，也未將悟性賜給它。

　　Because God hath deprived her of wisdom， neither hath he imparted to her understanding.

　　39：18 它幾時挺身展開翅膀，就嗤笑馬和騎馬的人。

　　What time she lifteth up herself on high， she scorneth the horse and his rider.

　　39：19 馬的大力是你所賜的嗎。它頸項上？？挲的鬃是你給它披上的嗎。

　　Hast thou given the horse strength？ hast thou clothed his neck with thunder？

　　39：20 是你叫它跳躍像蝗蟲嗎。它噴氣之威使人驚惶。

　　Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper？ the glory of his nostrils is terrible.

　　39：21 它在谷中刨地，自喜其力。它出去迎接佩帶兵器的人。

　　He paweth in the valley， and rejoiceth in his strength： he goeth on to meet the armed men.

　　39：22 它嗤笑可怕的事并不驚惶，也不因刀劍退回。

　　He mocketh at fear， and is not affrighted； neither turneth he back from the sword.

　　39：23 箭袋和發亮的槍，并短槍在它身上錚錚有聲。

　　The quiver rattleth against him， the glittering spear and the shield.

　　39：24 它發猛烈的怒氣將地吞下。一聽角聲就不耐站立。

　　He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage： neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.

　　39：25 角每發聲，它說呵哈。它從遠處聞著戰氣，又聽見軍長大發雷聲，和兵丁吶喊。

　　He saith among the trumpets， Ha， ha； and he smelleth the battle afar off， the thunder of the captains， and the shouting.

　　39：26 鷹雀飛翔，展開翅膀一直向南，豈是藉你的智慧嗎。

　　Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom， and stretch her wings toward the south？

　　39：27 大鷹上騰在高處搭窩，豈是聽你的吩咐嗎。

　　Doth the eagle mount up at thy command， and make her nest on high？

　　39：28 它住在山巖，以山峰和堅固之所為家，She dwelleth and abideth on the rock， upon the crag of the rock， and the strong place.

　　39：29 從那里窺看食物，眼睛遠遠觀望。

　　From thence she seeketh the prey， and her eyes behold afar off.

　　39：30 它的雛也咂血。被殺的人在那里。它也在那里。

　　Her young ones also suck up blood： and where the slain are， there is she.
