舊約 -- 約伯記(Job) -- 第40章
40：1 耶和華又對(duì)約伯說，Moreover the LORD answered Job， and said，
40：2 強(qiáng)辯的豈可與全能者爭論嗎。與神辯駁的可以回答這些吧。
Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him？ he that reproveth God， let him answer it.
40：3 于是，約伯回答耶和華說，Then Job answered the LORD， and said，
40：4 我是卑賤的。我用什么回答你呢。只好用手捂口。
Behold， I am vile； what shall I answer thee？ I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
40：5 我說了一次，再不回答。說了兩次，就不再說。
Once have I spoken； but I will not answer： yea， twice； but I will proceed no further.
40：6 于是，耶和華從旋風(fēng)中回答約伯說，Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind， and said，
40：7 你要如勇士束腰。我問你，你可以指示我。
Gird up thy loins now like a man： I will demand of thee， and declare thou unto me.
40：8 你豈可廢棄我所擬定的。豈可定我有罪，好顯自己為義嗎。
Wilt thou also disannul my judgment？ wilt thou condemn me， that thou mayest be righteous？
40：9 你有神那樣的膀臂嗎。你能像他發(fā)雷聲嗎。
Hast thou an arm like God？ or canst thou thunder with a voice like him？
40：10 你要以榮耀莊嚴(yán)為妝飾，以尊榮威嚴(yán)為衣服。
Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency； and array thyself with glory and beauty.
40：11 要發(fā)出你滿溢的怒氣，見一切驕傲的人，使他降卑。
Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath： and behold every one that is proud， and abase him.
40：12 見一切驕傲的人，將他制伏，把惡人踐踏在本處。
Look on every one that is proud， and bring him low； and tread down the wicked in their place.
40：13 將他們一同隱藏在塵土中，把他們的臉蒙蔽在隱密處。
Hide them in the dust together； and bind their faces in secret.
40：14 我就認(rèn)你右手能以救自己。
Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.
40：15 你且觀看河馬。我造你也造它。它吃草與牛一樣。
Behold now behemoth， which I made with thee； he eateth grass as an ox.
40：16 它的氣力在腰間，能力在肚腹的筋上。
Lo now， his strength is in his loins， and his force is in the navel of his belly.
40：17 它搖動(dòng)尾巴如香柏樹。它大腿的筋互相聯(lián)絡(luò)。
He moveth his tail like a cedar： the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
40：18 它的骨頭好像銅管。它的肢體彷佛鐵棍。
His bones are as strong pieces of brass； his bones are like bars of iron.
40：19 它在神所造的物中為首。創(chuàng)造它的給它刀劍。
He is the chief of the ways of God： he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
40：20 諸山給它出食物，也是百獸游玩之處。
Surely the mountains bring him forth food， where all the beasts of the field play.
40：21 它伏在蓮葉之下，臥在蘆葦隱密處和水洼子里。
He lieth under the shady trees， in the covert of the reed， and fens.
40：22 蓮葉的陰涼遮蔽它。溪旁的柳樹環(huán)繞它。
The shady trees cover him with their shadow； the willows of the brook compass him about.
40：23 河水泛濫，它不發(fā)戰(zhàn)。就是約旦河的水漲到它口邊，也是安然。
Behold， he drinketh up a river， and hasteth not： he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
40：24 在它防備的時(shí)候，誰能捉拿它。誰能牢籠它穿它的鼻子呢。
He taketh it with his eyes： his nose pierceth through snares.
