3：1 所羅門與埃及王法老結親，娶了法老的女兒為妻，接她進入大衛(wèi)城，直等到造完了自己的宮和耶和華的殿，并耶路撒冷周圍的城墻。

　　And Solomon made affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt， and took Pharaoh's daughter， and brought her into the city of David， until he had made an end of building his own house， and the house of the LORD， and the wall of Jerusalem round about.

　　3：2 當那些日子，百姓仍在邱壇獻祭，因為還沒有為耶和華的名建殿。

　　Only the people sacrificed in high places， because there was no house built unto the name of the LORD， until those days.

　　3：3 所羅門愛耶和華，遵行他父親大衛(wèi)的律例，只是還在邱壇獻祭燒香。

　　And Solomon loved the LORD， walking in the statutes of David his father： only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.

　　3：4 所羅門王上基遍去獻祭。因為在那里有極大（或作出名）的邱壇，他在那壇上獻一千犧牲作燔祭。

　　And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there； for that was the great high place： a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.

　　3：5 在基遍，夜間夢中，耶和華向所羅門顯現(xiàn)，對他說，你愿我賜你什么。你可以求。

　　In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night： and God said， Ask what I shall give thee.

　　3：6 所羅門說，你仆人我父親大衛(wèi)用誠實，公義，正直的心行在你面前，你就向他大施恩典，又為他存留大恩，賜他一個兒子坐在他的位上，正如今日一樣。

　　And Solomon said， Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy， according as he walked before thee in truth， and in righteousness， and in uprightness of heart with thee； and thou hast kept for him this great kindness， that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne， as it is this day.

　　3：7 耶和華我的神阿，如今你使仆人接續(xù)我父親大衛(wèi)作王。但我是幼童，不知道應當怎樣出入。

　　And now， O LORD my God， thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father： and I am but a little child： I know not how to go out or come in.

　　3：8 仆人住在你所揀選的民中，這民多得不可勝數(shù)。

　　And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen， a great people， that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.

　　3：9 所以求你賜我智慧，可以判斷你的民，能辨別是非。不然，誰能判斷這眾多的民呢。

　　Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people， that I may discern between good and bad： for who is able to judge this thy so great a people？

　　3：10 所羅門因為求這事，就蒙主喜悅。

　　And the speech pleased the LORD， that Solomon had asked this thing.

　　3：11 神對他說，你既然求這事，不為自己求壽，求富，也不求滅絕你仇敵的性命，單求智慧可以聽訟，And God said unto him， Because thou hast asked this thing， and hast not asked for thyself long life； neither hast asked riches for thyself， nor hast asked the life of thine enemies； but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment；

　　3：12 我就應允你所求的，賜你聰明智慧，甚至在你以前沒有像你的，在你以后也沒有像你的。

　　Behold， I have done according to thy words： lo， I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart； so that there was none like thee before thee， neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

　　3：13 你所沒有求的，我也賜給你，就是富足，尊榮，使你在世的日子，列王中沒有一個能比你的。

　　And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked， both riches， and honour： so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.

　　3：14 你若效法你父親大衛(wèi)，遵行我的道，謹守我的律例，誡命，我必使你長壽。

　　And if thou wilt walk in my ways， to keep my statutes and my commandments， as thy father David did walk， then I will lengthen thy days.

　　3：15 所羅門醒了，不料是個夢。他就回到耶路撒冷，站在耶和華的約柜前，獻燔祭和平安祭，又為他眾臣仆設擺筵席。

　　And Solomon awoke； and， behold， it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem， and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD， and offered up burnt offerings， and offered peace offerings， and made a feast to all his servants.

　　3：16 一日，有兩個妓女來，站在王面前。

　　Then came there two women， that were harlots， unto the king， and stood before him.

　　3：17 一個說，我主阿，我和這婦人同住一房。她在房中的時候，我生了一個男孩。

　　And the one woman said， O my lord， I and this woman dwell in one house； and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.

　　3：18 我生孩子后第三日，這婦人也生了孩子。我們是同住的，除了我們二人之外，房中再沒有別人。

　　And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered， that this woman was delivered also： and we were together； there was no stranger with us in the house， save we two in the house.

　　3：19 夜間，這婦人睡著的時候，壓死了她的孩子。

　　And this woman's child died in the night； because she overlaid it.

　　3：20 她半夜起來，趁我睡著，從我旁邊把我的孩子抱去，放在她懷里，將她的死孩子放在我懷里。

　　And she arose at midnight， and took my son from beside me， while thine handmaid slept， and laid it in her bosom， and laid her dead child in my bosom.

　　3：21 天要亮的時候，我起來要給我的孩子吃奶，不料，孩子死了。及至天亮，我細細地察看，不是我所生的孩子。

　　And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck， behold， it was dead： but when I had considered it in the morning， behold， it was not my son， which I did bear.

　　3：22 那婦人說，不然，活孩子是我的，死孩子是你的。這婦人說，不然，死孩子是你的，活孩子是我的。她們在王面前如此爭論。

　　And the other woman said， Nay； but the living is my son， and the dead is thy son. And this said， No； but the dead is thy son， and the living is my son. Thus they spake before the king.

　　3：23 王說，這婦人說活孩子是我的，死孩子是你的，那婦人說不然，死孩子是你的，活孩子是我的，Then said the king， The one saith， This is my son that liveth， and thy son is the dead： and the other saith， Nay； but thy son is the dead， and my son is the living.

　　3：24 就吩咐說，拿刀來。人就拿刀來。

　　And the king said， Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king.

　　3：25 王說，將活孩子劈成兩半，一半給那婦人，一半給這婦人。

　　And the king said， Divide the living child in two， and give half to the one， and half to the other.

　　3：26 活孩子的母親為自己的孩子心里急痛，就說，求我主將活孩子給那婦人吧，萬不可殺他。那婦人說，這孩子也不歸我，也不歸你，把他劈了吧。

　　Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king， for her bowels yearned upon her son， and she said， O my lord， give her the living child， and in no wise slay it. But the other said， Let it be neither mine nor thine， but divide it.

　　3：27 王說，將活孩子給這婦人，萬不可殺他。這婦人實在是他的母親。

　　Then the king answered and said， Give her the living child， and in no wise slay it： she is the mother thereof.

　　3：28 以色列眾人聽見王這樣判斷，就都敬畏他。因為見他心里有神的智慧，能以斷案。

　　And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged； and they feared the king： for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him， to do judgment.
