4：1 以色列人哪，現(xiàn)在我所教訓(xùn)你們的律例典章，你們要聽從遵行，好叫你們存活，得以進(jìn)入耶和華你們列祖之神所賜給你們的地，承受為業(yè)。

　　Now therefore hearken， O Israel， unto the statutes and unto the judgments， which I teach you， for to do them， that ye may live， and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.

　　4：2 所吩咐你們的話，你們不可加添，也不可刪減，好叫你們遵守我所吩咐的，就是耶和華你們神的命令。

　　Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you， neither shall ye diminish ought from it， that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

　　4：3 耶和華因巴力毗珥的事所行的，你們親眼看見了。凡隨從巴力毗珥的人，耶和華你們的神都從你們中間除滅了。

　　Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor： for all the men that followed Baalpeor， the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

　　4：4 惟有你們?？恳腿A你們神的人，今日全都存活。

　　But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day.

　　4：5 我照著耶和華我神所吩咐的將律例典章教訓(xùn)你們，使你們在所要進(jìn)去得為業(yè)的地上遵行。

　　Behold， I have taught you statutes and judgments， even as the LORD my God commanded me， that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

　　4：6 所以你們要謹(jǐn)守遵行。這就是你們在萬民眼前的智慧，聰明。他們聽見這一切律例，必說，這大國的人真是有智慧，有聰明。

　　Keep therefore and do them； for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations， which shall hear all these statutes， and say， Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

　　4：7 哪一大國的人有神與他們相近，像耶和華我們的神，在我們求告他的時候與我們相近呢，F(xiàn)or what nation is there so great， who hath God so nigh unto them， as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for？

　　4：8 又哪一大國有這樣公義的律例典章，像我今日在你們面前所陳明的這一切律法呢，And what nation is there so great， that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law， which I set before you this day？

　　4：9 你只要謹(jǐn)慎，殷勤保守你的心靈，免得忘記你親眼所看見的事，又免得你一生，這事離開你的心?？傄獋鹘o你的子子孫孫。

　　Only take heed to thyself， and keep thy soul diligently， lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen， and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life： but teach them thy sons， and thy sons' sons；

　　4：10 你在何烈山站在耶和華你神面前的那日，耶和華對我說，你為我招聚百姓，我要叫他們聽見我的話，使他們存活在世的日子，可以學(xué)習(xí)敬畏我，又可以教訓(xùn)兒女這樣行。

　　Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb， when the LORD said unto me， Gather me the people together， and I will make them hear my words， that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth， and that they may teach their children.

　　4：11 那時你們近前來，站在山下。山上有火焰沖天，并有昏黑，密云，幽暗。

　　And ye came near and stood under the mountain； and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven， with darkness， clouds， and thick darkness.

　　4：12 耶和華從火焰中對你們說話，你們只聽見聲音，卻沒有看見形像。

　　And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire： ye heard the voice of the words， but saw no similitude； only ye heard a voice.

　　4：13 他將所吩咐你們當(dāng)守的約指示你們，就是十條誡，并將這誡寫在兩塊石版上。

　　And he declared unto you his covenant， which he commanded you to perform， even ten commandments； and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

　　4：14 那時耶和華又吩咐我將律例典章教訓(xùn)你們，使你們在所要過去得為業(yè)的地上遵行。

　　And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments， that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.

　　4：15 所以，你們要分外謹(jǐn)慎。因為耶和華在何烈山，從火中對你們說話的那日，你們沒有看見什么形像。

　　Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves； for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire：

　　4：16 惟恐你們敗壞自己，雕刻偶像，彷佛什么男像女像，Lest ye corrupt yourselves， and make you a graven image， the similitude of any figure， the likeness of male or female，

　　4：17 或地上走獸的像，或空中飛鳥的像，The likeness of any beast that is on the earth， the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air，

　　4：18 或地上爬物的像，或地底下水中魚的像。

　　The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground， the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth：

　　4：19 又恐怕你向天舉目觀看，見耶和華你的神為天下萬民所擺列的日月星，就是天上的萬象，自己便被勾引敬拜事奉它。

　　And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven， and when thou seest the sun， and the moon， and the stars， even all the host of heaven， shouldest be driven to worship them， and serve them， which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

　　4：20 耶和華將你們從埃及領(lǐng)出來，脫離鐵爐，要特作自己產(chǎn)業(yè)的子民，像今日一樣。

　　But the LORD hath taken you， and brought you forth out of the iron furnace， even out of Egypt， to be unto him a people of inheritance， as ye are this day.

　　4：21 耶和華又因你們的緣故向我發(fā)怒，起誓必不容我過約旦河，也不容我進(jìn)入耶和華你神所賜你為業(yè)的那美地。

　　Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes， and sware that I should not go over Jordan， and that I should not go in unto that good land， which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance：

　　4：22 我只得死在這地，不能過約旦河。但你們必過去得那美地。

　　But I must die in this land， I must not go over Jordan： but ye shall go over， and possess that good land.

　　4：23 你們要謹(jǐn)慎，免得忘記耶和華你們神與你們所立的約，為自己雕刻偶像，就是耶和華你神所禁止你作的偶像。

　　Take heed unto yourselves， lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God， which he made with you， and make you a graven image， or the likeness of any thing， which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.

　　4：24 因為耶和華你的神乃是烈火，是忌邪的神。

　　For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire， even a jealous God.

　　4：25 你們在那地住久了，生子生孫，就雕刻偶像，彷佛什么形像，敗壞自己，行耶和華你神眼中看為惡的事，惹他發(fā)怒。

　　When thou shalt beget children， and children's children， and ye shall have remained long in the land， and shall corrupt yourselves， and make a graven image， or the likeness of any thing， and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God， to provoke him to anger：

　　4：26 我今日呼天喚地向你們作見證，你們必在過約旦河得為業(yè)的地上速速滅盡。你們不能在那地上長久，必盡行除滅。

　　I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day， that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it； ye shall not prolong your days upon it， but shall utterly be destroyed.

　　4：27 耶和華必使你們分散在萬民中。在他所領(lǐng)你們到的萬國里，你們剩下的人數(shù)稀少。

　　And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations， and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen， whither the LORD shall lead you.

　　4：28 在那里，你們必事奉人手所造的神，就是用木石造成，不能看，不能聽，不能吃，不能聞的神。

　　And there ye shall serve gods， the work of men's hands， wood and stone， which neither see， nor hear， nor eat， nor smell.

　　4：29 但你們在那里必尋求耶和華你的神。你盡心盡性尋求他的時候，就必尋見。

　　But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God， thou shalt find him， if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

　　4：30 日后你遭遇一切患難的時候，你必歸回耶和華你的神，聽從他的話。

　　When thou art in tribulation， and all these things are come upon thee， even in the latter days， if thou turn to the LORD thy God， and shalt be obedient unto his voice；

　　4：31 耶和華你神原是有憐憫的神。他總不撇下你，不滅絕你，也不忘記他起誓與你列祖所立的約。

　?。‵or the LORD thy God is a merciful God；） he will not forsake thee， neither destroy thee， nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

　　4：32 你且考察在你以前的世代，自神造人在世以來，從天這邊到天那邊，曾有何民聽見神在火中說話的聲音，像你聽見還能存活呢，F(xiàn)or ask now of the days that are past， which were before thee， since the day that God created man upon the earth， and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other， whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is， or hath been heard like it？

　　4：33 這樣的大事何曾有，何曾聽見呢，Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire， as thou hast heard， and live？

　　4：34 神何曾從別的國中將一國的人民領(lǐng)出來，用試驗，神跡，奇事，爭戰(zhàn)，大能的手，和伸出來的膀臂，并大可畏的事，像耶和華你們的神在埃及，在你們眼前為你們所行的一切事呢，Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation， by temptations， by signs， and by wonders， and by war， and by a mighty hand， and by a stretched out arm， and by great terrors， according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes？

　　4：35 這是顯給你看，要使你知道，惟有耶和華他是神，除他以外，再無別神。

　　Unto thee it was shewed， that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God； there is none else beside him.

　　4：36 他從天上使你聽見他的聲音，為要教訓(xùn)你，又在地上使你看見他的烈火，并且聽見他從火中所說的話。

　　Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice， that he might instruct thee： and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire； and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

　　4：37 因他愛你的列祖，所以揀選他們的后裔，用大能親自領(lǐng)你出了埃及，And because he loved thy fathers， therefore he chose their seed after them， and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt；

　　4：38 要將比你強(qiáng)大的國民從你面前趕出，領(lǐng)你進(jìn)去，將他們的地賜你為業(yè)，像今日一樣。

　　To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art， to bring thee in， to give thee their land for an inheritance， as it is this day.

　　4：39 所以，今日你要知道，也要記在心上，天上地下惟有耶和華他是神，除他以外，再無別神。

　　Know therefore this day， and consider it in thine heart， that the LORD he is God in heaven above， and upon the earth beneath： there is none else.

　　4：40 我今日將他的律例誡命曉諭你，你要遵守，使你和你的子孫可以得福，并使你的日子在耶和華你神所賜的地上得以長久。

　　Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes， and his commandments， which I command thee this day， that it may go well with thee， and with thy children after thee， and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth， which the LORD thy God giveth thee， for ever.

　　4：41 那時，摩西在約旦河?xùn)|，向日出之地，分定三座城，Then Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward the sunrising；

　　4：42 使那素?zé)o仇恨，無心殺了人的，可以逃到這三城之中的一座城，就得存活，That the slayer might flee thither， which should kill his neighbour unawares， and hated him not in times past； and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live：

　　4：43 為流便人分定曠野平原的比悉。為迦得人分定基列的拉末。為瑪拿西人分定巴珊的哥蘭。

　　Namely， Bezer in the wilderness， in the plain country， of the Reubenites； and Ramoth in Gilead， of the Gadites； and Golan in Bashan， of the Manassites.

　　4：44 摩西在以色列人面前所陳明的律法And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel：

　　4：45 就是摩西在以色列人出埃及后所傳給他們的法度，律例，典章。

　　These are the testimonies， and the statutes， and the judgments， which Moses spake unto the children of Israel， after they came forth out of Egypt，

　　4：46 在約旦河?xùn)|伯毗珥對面的谷中，在住希實(shí)本，亞摩利王西宏之地。這西宏是摩西和以色列人出埃及后所擊殺的。

　　On this side Jordan， in the valley over against Bethpeor， in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites， who dwelt at Heshbon， whom Moses and the children of Israel smote， after they were come forth out of Egypt：

　　4：47 他們得了他的地，又得了巴珊王噩的地，就是兩個亞摩利王，在約旦河?xùn)|向日出之地。

　　And they possessed his land， and the land of Og king of Bashan， two kings of the Amorites， which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising；

　　4：48 從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥，直到西云山，就是黑門山。

　　From Aroer， which is by the bank of the river Arnon， even unto mount Sion， which is Hermon，

　　4：49 還有約旦河?xùn)|的全亞拉巴，直到亞拉巴海，靠近毗斯迦山根。

　　And all the plain on this side Jordan eastward， even unto the sea of the plain， under the springs of Pisgah.
