20：1 你出去與仇敵爭戰(zhàn)的時候，看見馬匹，車輛，并有比你多的人民，不要怕他們，因為領你出埃及地的耶和華你神與你同在。

　　When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies， and seest horses， and chariots， and a people more than thou， be not afraid of them： for the LORD thy God is with thee， which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

　　20：2 你們將要上陣的時候，祭司要到百姓面前宣告，And it shall be， when ye are come nigh unto the battle， that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people，

　　20：3 說，以色列人哪，你們當聽，你們今日將要與仇敵爭戰(zhàn)，不要膽怯，不要懼怕戰(zhàn)兢，也不要因他們驚恐。

　　And shall say unto them， Hear， O Israel， ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies： let not your hearts faint， fear not， and do not tremble， neither be ye terrified because of them；

　　20：4 因為耶和華你們的神與你們同去，要為你們與仇敵爭戰(zhàn)，拯救你們。

　　For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you， to fight for you against your enemies， to save you.

　　20：5 官長也要對百姓宣告說，誰建造房屋，尚未奉獻，他可以回家去，恐怕他陣亡，別人去奉獻。

　　And the officers shall speak unto the people， saying， What man is there that hath built a new house， and hath not dedicated it？ let him go and return to his house， lest he die in the battle， and another man dedicate it.

　　20：6 誰種葡萄園，尚未用所結的果子，他可以回家去，恐怕他陣亡，別人去用。

　　And what man is he that hath planted a vineyard， and hath not yet eaten of it？ let him also go and return unto his house， lest he die in the battle， and another man eat of it.

　　20：7 誰聘定了妻，尚未迎娶，他可以回家去，恐怕他陣亡，別人去娶。

　　And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife， and hath not taken her？ let him go and return unto his house， lest he die in the battle， and another man take her.

　　20：8 官長又要對百姓宣告說，誰懼怕膽怯，他可以回家去，恐怕他弟兄的心消化，和他一樣。

　　And the officers shall speak further unto the people， and they shall say， What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted？ let him go and return unto his house， lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart.

　　20：9 官長對百姓宣告完了，就當派軍長率領他們。

　　And it shall be， when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people， that they shall make captains of the armies to lead the people.

　　20：10 你臨近一座城，要攻打的時候，先要對城里的民宣告和睦的話。

　　When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it， then proclaim peace unto it.

　　20：11 他們若以和睦的話回答你，給你開了城，城里所有的人都要給你效勞，服事你。

　　And it shall be， if it make thee answer of peace， and open unto thee， then it shall be， that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee， and they shall serve thee.

　　20：12 若不肯與你和好，反要與你打仗，你就要圍困那城。

　　And if it will make no peace with thee， but will make war against thee， then thou shalt besiege it：

　　20：13 耶和華你的神把城交付你手，你就要用刀殺盡這城的男丁。

　　And when the LORD thy God hath delivered it into thine hands， thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword：

　　20：14 惟有婦女，孩子，牲畜，和城內一切的財物，你可以取為自己的掠物。耶和華你神把你仇敵的財物賜給你，你可以吃用。

　　But the women， and the little ones， and the cattle， and all that is in the city， even all the spoil thereof， shalt thou take unto thyself； and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies， which the LORD thy God hath given thee.

　　20：15 離你甚遠的各城，不是這些國民的城，你都要這樣待他。

　　Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee， which are not of the cities of these nations.

　　20：16 但這些國民的城，耶和華你神既賜你為業(yè)，其中凡有氣息的，一個不可存留。

　　But of the cities of these people， which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance， thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth：

　　20：17 只要照耶和華你神所吩咐的將這赫人，亞摩利人，迦南人，比利洗人，希未人，耶布斯人都滅絕凈盡，But thou shalt utterly destroy them； namely， the Hittites， and the Amorites， the Canaanites， and the Perizzites， the Hivites， and the Jebusites； as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee：

　　20：18 免得他們教導你們學習一切可憎惡的事，就是他們向自己神所行的，以致你們得罪耶和華你們的神。

　　That they teach you not to do after all their abominations， which they have done unto their gods； so should ye sin against the LORD your God.

　　20：19 你若許久圍困，攻打所要取的一座城，就不可舉斧子砍壞樹木。因為你可以吃那樹上的果子，不可砍伐。田間的樹木豈是人，叫你糟蹋嗎，When thou shalt besiege a city a long time， in making war against it to take it， thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them： for thou mayest eat of them， and thou shalt not cut them down （for the tree of the field is man's life） to employ them in the siege：

　　20：20 惟獨你所知道不是結果子的樹木可以毀壞，砍伐，用以修筑營壘，攻擊那與你打仗的城，直到攻塌了。

　　Only the trees which thou knowest that they be not trees for meat， thou shalt destroy and cut them down； and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee， until it be subdued.
