129：1 （上行之詩）以色列當說，從我幼年以來，敵人屢次苦害我，Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth， may Israel now say：
129：2 從我幼年以來，敵人屢次苦害我，卻沒有勝了我。
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth： yet they have not prevailed against me.
129：3 如同扶犁的在我背上扶犁而耕，耕的犁溝甚長。
The plowers plowed upon my back： they made long their furrows.
129：4 耶和華是公義的。他砍斷了惡人的繩索。
The LORD is righteous： he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
129：5 愿恨惡錫安的，都蒙羞退后。
Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
129：6 愿他們像房頂上的草，未長成而枯乾。
Let them be as the grass upon the housetops， which withereth afore it groweth up：
129：7 收割的不夠一把，捆禾的也不滿懷。
Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand； nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.
129：8 過路的也不說，愿耶和華所賜的福，歸與你們。我們奉耶和華的名，給你們祝福。
Neither do they which go by say， The blessing of the LORD be upon you： we bless you in the name of the LORD.
