舊約 -- 箴言(Proverbs) -- 第9章
9：1 智慧建造房屋，鑿成七根柱子，Wisdom hath builded her house， she hath hewn out her seven pillars：
9：2 宰殺牲畜，調(diào)和旨酒，設(shè)擺筵席。
She hath killed her beasts； she hath mingled her wine； she hath also furnished her table.
9：3 打發(fā)使女出去，自己在城中至高處呼叫，She hath sent forth her maidens： she crieth upon the highest places of the city，
9：4 說，誰是愚蒙人，可以轉(zhuǎn)到這里來。又對那無知的人說，Whoso is simple， let him turn in hither： as for him that wanteth understanding， she saith to him，
9：5 你們來，吃我的餅，喝我調(diào)和的酒。
Come， eat of my bread， and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
9：6 你們愚蒙人，要舍棄愚蒙，就得存活。并要走光明的道。
Forsake the foolish， and live； and go in the way of understanding.
9：7 指斥褻慢人的，必受辱罵。責(zé)備惡人的，必被玷污。
He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame： and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
9：8 不要責(zé)備褻慢人，恐怕他恨你。要責(zé)備智慧人，他必愛你。
Reprove not a scorner， lest he hate thee： rebuke a wise man， and he will love thee.
9：9 教導(dǎo)智慧人，他就越發(fā)有智慧。指示義人，他就增長學(xué)問。
Give instruction to a wise man， and he will be yet wiser： teach a just man， and he will increase in learning.
9：10 敬畏耶和華，是智慧的開端。認(rèn)識至圣者，便是聰明。
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom： and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
9：11 你藉著我，日子必增多，年歲也必加添。
For by me thy days shall be multiplied， and the years of thy life shall be increased.
9：12 你若有智慧，是與自己有益。你若褻慢，就必獨(dú)自擔(dān)當(dāng)。
If thou be wise， thou shalt be wise for thyself： but if thou scornest， thou alone shalt bear it.
9：13 愚昧的婦人喧囔。他是愚蒙，一無所知。
A foolish woman is clamorous： she is simple， and knoweth nothing.
9：14 他坐在自己的家門口，坐在城中高處的座位上，F(xiàn)or she sitteth at the door of her house， on a seat in the high places of the city，
9：15 呼叫過路的，就是直行其道的人，To call passengers who go right on their ways：
9：16 說，誰是愚蒙人，可以轉(zhuǎn)到這里來。又對那無知的人說，Whoso is simple， let him turn in hither： and as for him that wanteth understanding， she saith to him，
9：17 偷來的水是甜的，暗吃的餅是好的。
Stolen waters are sweet， and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
9：18 人卻不知有陰魂在他那里。他的客在陰間的深處。
But he knoweth not that the dead are there； and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
