舊約 -- 以賽亞書(Isaiah) -- 第42章
42:1 看哪,我的仆人,我所扶持,所揀選,心里所喜悅的,我已將我的靈賜給他,他必將公理傳給外邦。
Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
42:2 他不喧囔,不揚(yáng)聲,也不使街上聽見他的聲音。
He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
42:3 壓傷的蘆葦,他不折斷。將殘的燈火,他不吹滅。他憑真實(shí)將公理傳開。
A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
42:4 他不灰心,也不喪膽,直到他在地上設(shè)立公理。海島都等候他的訓(xùn)誨。
He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
42:5 創(chuàng)造諸天,鋪張穹蒼,將地和地所出的一并鋪開,賜氣息給地上的眾人,又賜靈性給行在其上之人的神之和華,他如此說(shuō),Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
42:6 我耶和華憑公義召你,必?cái)v扶你的手,保守你,使你作眾民的中保,(中保原文作約)作外邦人的光,I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
42:7 開瞎子的眼,領(lǐng)被囚的出牢獄,領(lǐng)坐黑暗的出監(jiān)牢。
To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
42:8 我是耶和華,這是我的名。我必不將我的榮耀歸給假神,也不將我的稱贊歸給雕刻的偶像。
I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
42:9 看哪,先前的事已經(jīng)成就,現(xiàn)在我將新事說(shuō)明,這事未發(fā)以前,我就說(shuō)給你們聽。
Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
42:10 航海的,和海中所有的,海島,和其上的居民,都當(dāng)向耶和華唱新歌,從地極贊美他。
Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
42:11 曠野和其中的城邑,并基達(dá)人居住的村莊,都當(dāng)揚(yáng)聲。西拉的居民當(dāng)歡呼,在山頂上吶喊。
Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
42:12 他們當(dāng)將榮耀歸給耶和華,在海島中傳揚(yáng)他的頌贊。
Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.
42:13 耶和華必像勇士出去,必像戰(zhàn)士激動(dòng)熱心,要喊叫,大聲吶喊,要用大力攻擊仇敵。
The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.
42:14 我許久閉口不言,靜默不語(yǔ),現(xiàn)在我要喊叫像產(chǎn)難的婦人,我要急氣而喘哮。
I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.
42:15 我要使大山小岡變?yōu)榛膱?chǎng),使其上的花草都枯乾,我要使江河變?yōu)橹迧u,使水池都乾涸。
I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.
42:16 我要引瞎子行不認(rèn)識(shí)的道,領(lǐng)他們走不知道的路。在他們面前使黑暗變?yōu)楣饷鳎箯澢優(yōu)槠街薄_@些事我都要行,并不離棄他們。
And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
42:17 倚靠雕刻的偶像,對(duì)鑄造的偶像說(shuō),你是我們的神,這等人要退后,全然蒙羞。
They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.
42:18 你們這耳聾的聽吧。你們這眼瞎的看吧。使你們能看見。
Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.
42:19 誰(shuí)比我的仆人眼瞎呢,誰(shuí)比我差遣的使者耳聾呢,誰(shuí)瞎眼像那與我和好的,誰(shuí)瞎眼像耶和華的仆人呢。
Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD's servant?
42:20 你看見許多事卻不領(lǐng)會(huì)。耳朵開通卻不聽見。
Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
42:21 耶和華因自己公義的緣故,喜歡使律法(或作訓(xùn)誨)為大,為尊。
The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
42:22 但這百姓是被搶被奪的,都牢籠在坑中,隱藏在獄里,他們作掠物,無(wú)人拯救,作擄物,無(wú)人說(shuō)交還。
But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.
42:23 你們中間誰(shuí)肯側(cè)耳聽此,誰(shuí)肯留心而聽,以防將來(lái)呢。
Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?
42:24 誰(shuí)將雅各交出當(dāng)作擄物,將以色列交給搶奪的呢,豈不是耶和華嗎,就是我們所得罪的那位。他們不肯遵行他的道,也不聽從他的訓(xùn)誨。
Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.
42:25 所以他將猛烈的怒氣,和爭(zhēng)戰(zhàn)的勇力,傾倒在以色列的身上。在他四圍如火著起,他還不知道,燒著他,他也不介意。
Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.
