　　1：1 耶和華的話臨到毗土珥的兒子約珥。

　　The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.

　　1：2 老年人哪，當(dāng)聽(tīng)我的話。國(guó)中的居民哪，都要側(cè)耳而聽(tīng)。在你們的日子，或你們列祖的日子，曾有這樣的事嗎。

　　Hear this， ye old men， and give ear， all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days， or even in the days of your fathers？

　　1：3 你們要將這事傳與子，子傳與孫，孫傳與后代。

　　Tell ye your children of it， and let your children tell their children， and their children another generation.

　　1：4 剪蟲(chóng)剩下的，蝗蟲(chóng)來(lái)吃。蝗蟲(chóng)剩下的，蝻子來(lái)吃。蝻子剩下的，螞蚱來(lái)吃。

　　That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten； and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten； and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.

　　1：5 酒醉的人哪，要清醒哭泣。好酒的人哪，都要為甜酒哀號(hào)。因?yàn)閺哪銈兊目谥袛嘟^了。

　　Awake， ye drunkards， and weep； and howl， all ye drinkers of wine， because of the new wine； for it is cut off from your mouth.

　　1：6 有一隊(duì)蝗蟲(chóng)（原文是民）又強(qiáng)盛又無(wú)數(shù)，侵犯我的地。它的牙齒如獅子的牙齒，大牙如母獅的大牙。

　　For a nation is come up upon my land， strong， and without number， whose teeth are the teeth of a lion， and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

　　1：7 它毀壞我的葡萄樹(shù)，剝了我無(wú)花果樹(shù)的皮，剝盡而丟棄，使枝條露白。

　　He hath laid my vine waste， and barked my fig tree： he hath made it clean bare， and cast it away； the branches thereof are made white.

　　1：8 我的民哪，你當(dāng)哀號(hào)，像處女腰束麻布，為幼年的丈夫哀號(hào)。

　　Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.

　　1：9 素祭和奠祭從耶和華的殿中斷絕。事奉耶和華的祭司都悲哀。

　　The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the LORD； the priests， the LORD's ministers， mourn.

　　1：10 田荒涼，地悲哀，因?yàn)槲骞葰模戮魄撸鸵踩狈Α?/p>

　　The field is wasted， the land mourneth； for the corn is wasted： the new wine is dried up， the oil languisheth.

　　1：11 農(nóng)夫阿，你們要慚愧，修理葡萄園的阿，你們要哀號(hào)，因?yàn)榇篼溞←湥c田間的莊稼，都滅絕了。

　　Be ye ashamed， O ye husbandmen； howl， O ye vinedressers， for the wheat and for the barley； because the harvest of the field is perished.

　　1：12 葡萄樹(shù)枯乾，無(wú)花果樹(shù)衰殘。石榴樹(shù)，棕樹(shù)，蘋(píng)果樹(shù)，連田野一切的樹(shù)木，也都枯乾。眾人的喜樂(lè)盡都消滅。

　　The vine is dried up， and the fig tree languisheth； the pomegranate tree， the palm tree also， and the apple tree， even all the trees of the field， are withered： because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

　　1：13 祭司阿，你們當(dāng)腰束麻布痛哭。伺候祭壇的阿，你們要哀號(hào)。事奉我神的阿，你們要來(lái)披上麻布過(guò)夜。因?yàn)樗丶溃偷旒溃瑥哪銈兩竦牡钪袛嘟^了。

　　Gird yourselves， and lament， ye priests： howl， ye ministers of the altar： come， lie all night in sackcloth， ye ministers of my God： for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God.

　　1：14 你們要分定禁食的日子，宣告嚴(yán)肅會(huì)，招聚長(zhǎng)老，和國(guó)中的一切居民，到耶和華你們神的殿，向耶和華哀求。

　　Sanctify ye a fast， call a solemn assembly， gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God， and cry unto the LORD.

　　1：15 哀哉，耶和華的日子臨近了。這日來(lái)到，好像毀滅從全能者來(lái)到。

　　Alas for the day！ for the day of the LORD is at hand， and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

　　1：16 糧食不是在我們眼前斷絕了嗎。歡喜快樂(lè)不是從我們神的殿中止息了嗎。

　　Is not the meat cut off before our eyes， yea， joy and gladness from the house of our God？

　　1：17 谷種在土塊下朽爛。倉(cāng)也荒涼，廩也破壞。因?yàn)槲骞瓤萸恕?/p>

　　The seed is rotten under their clods， the garners are laid desolate， the barns are broken down； for the corn is withered.

　　1：18 牲畜哀嗚，牛群混亂，因?yàn)闊o(wú)草。羊群也受了困苦。

　　How do the beasts groan！ the herds of cattle are perplexed， because they have no pasture； yea， the flocks of sheep are made desolate.

　　1：19 耶和華阿，我向你求告。因?yàn)榛馃郎鐣缫暗牟輬?chǎng)，火焰燒盡田野的樹(shù)木。

　　O LORD， to thee will I cry： for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness， and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.

　　1：20 田野的走獸向你發(fā)喘。因?yàn)橄裕鹨矡郎鐣缫暗牟輬?chǎng)。

　　The beasts of the field cry also unto thee： for the rivers of waters are dried up， and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
