18：1 耶穌說了這話，就同門徒出去，過了汲淪溪，在那里有一個園子，他和門徒進去了。
When Jesus had spoken these words， he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron， where was a garden， into the which he entered， and his disciples.
18：2 賣耶穌的猶大也知道那地方。因為耶穌和門徒屢次上那里去聚集。
And Judas also， which betrayed him， knew the place： for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples.
18：3 猶大領了一隊兵，和祭司長并法利賽人的差役，拿著燈籠，火把，兵器，就來到園里。
Judas then， having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees， cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.
18：4 耶穌知道將要臨到自己的一切事，就出來，對他們說，你們找誰。
Jesus therefore， knowing all things that should come upon him， went forth， and said unto them， Whom seek ye？
18：5 他們回答說，找拿撒勒人耶穌。耶穌說，我就是。賣他的猶大也同他們站在那里。
They answered him， Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them， I am he. And Judas also， which betrayed him， stood with them.
18：6 耶穌一說我就是，他們就退后倒在地上。
As soon then as he had said unto them， I am he， they went backward， and fell to the ground.
18：7 他又問他們說，你們找誰。他們說，找拿撒勒人耶穌。
Then asked he them again， Whom seek ye？ And they said， Jesus of Nazareth.
18：8 耶穌說，我已經告訴你們，我就是。你們若找我，就讓這些人去吧。
Jesus answered， I have told you that I am he： if therefore ye seek me， let these go their way：
18：9 這要應驗耶穌從前的話，說，你所賜給我的人，我沒有失落一個。
That the saying might be fulfilled， which he spake， Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.
18：10 西門彼得帶著一把刀，就拔出來，將大祭司的仆人砍了一刀，削掉他的右耳。那仆人名叫馬勒古。
Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it， and smote the high priest's servant， and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.
18：11 耶穌就對彼得說，收刀入鞘吧。我父所給我的那杯，我豈可不喝呢。
Then said Jesus unto Peter， Put up thy sword into the sheath： the cup which my Father hath given me， shall I not drink it？
18：12 那隊兵和千夫長并猶太人的差役，就拿住耶穌，把他捆綁了。
Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus， and bound him，
18：13 先帶到亞那面前。因為亞那是本年作大祭司該亞法的岳父。
And led him away to Annas first； for he was father in law to Caiaphas， which was the high priest that same year.
18：14 這該亞法，就是從前向猶太人發議論說，一個人替百姓死是有益的那位。
Now Caiaphas was he， which gave counsel to the Jews， that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.
18：15 西門彼得跟著耶穌，還有一個門徒跟著。那門徒是大祭司所認識的。他就同耶穌進了大祭司的院子。
And Simon Peter followed Jesus， and so did another disciple： that disciple was known unto the high priest， and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.
18：16 彼得卻站在門外。大祭司所認識的那門徒出來，和看門使女說了一聲，就領彼得進去。
But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple， which was known unto the high priest， and spake unto her that kept the door， and brought in Peter.
18：17 那看門的使女對彼得說，你不也是這人的門徒嗎。他說，我不是。
Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter， Art not thou also one of this man's disciples？ He saith， I am not.
18：18 仆人和差役，因為天冷，就生了炭火，站在那里烤火。彼得也同他們站著烤火。
And the servants and officers stood there， who had made a fire of coals； for it was cold： and they warmed themselves： and Peter stood with them， and warmed himself.
18：19 大祭司就以耶穌的門徒和他的教訓盤問他。
The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples， and of his doctrine.
18：20 耶穌回答說，我從來是明明的對世人說話。我常在會堂和殿里，就是猶太人聚集的地方，教訓人。我在暗地里，并沒有說什么。
Jesus answered him， I spake openly to the world； I ever taught in the synagogue， and in the temple， whither the Jews always resort； and in secret have I said nothing.
18：21 你為什么問我呢。可以問那聽見的人，我對他們說的是什么。我所說的，他們都知道。
Why askest thou me？ ask them which heard me， what I have said unto them： behold， they know what I said.
18：22 耶穌說了這話，旁邊站著的一個差役，用手掌打他說，你這樣回答大祭司嗎。
And when he had thus spoken， one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand， saying， Answerest thou the high priest so？
18：23 耶穌說，我若說的不是，你可以指證那不是。我若說的是，你為什么打我呢。
Jesus answered him， If I have spoken evil， bear witness of the evil： but if well， why smitest thou me？
18：24 亞那就把耶穌解到大祭司該亞法那里，仍是捆著解去的。
Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.
18：25 西門彼得正站著烤火，有人對他說，你不也是他的門徒嗎。彼得不承認，說，我不是。
And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him， Art not thou also one of his disciples？ He denied it， and said， I am not.
18：26 有大祭司的一個仆人，是彼得削掉耳朵那人的親屬，說，我不是看見你同他在園子里嗎。
One of the servants of the high priest， being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off， saith， Did not I see thee in the garden with him？
18：27 彼得又不承認。立時雞就叫了。
Peter then denied again： and immediately the cock crew.
18：28 眾人將耶穌從該亞法那里往衙門內解去。那時天還早。他們自己卻不進衙門，恐怕染了污穢，不能吃逾越節的筵席Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment： and it was early； and they themselves went not into the judgment hall， lest they should be defiled； but that they might eat the passover.
18：29 彼拉多就出來，到他們那里，說，你們告這人是為什么事呢。
Pilate then went out unto them， and said， What accusation bring ye against this man？
18：30 他們回答說，這人若不是作惡的，我們就不把他交給你。
They answered and said unto him， If he were not a malefactor， we would not have delivered him up unto thee.
18：31 彼拉多說，你們帶他去，按著你們的律法審問他吧。猶太人說，我們沒有殺人的權柄。
Then said Pilate unto them， Take ye him， and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him， It is not lawful for us to put any man to death：
18：32 這要應驗耶穌所說，自己將要怎樣死的話了。
That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled， which he spake， signifying what death he should die.
18：33 彼拉多又進了衙門，叫耶穌來，對他說，你是猶太人的王嗎。
Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again， and called Jesus， and said unto him， Art thou the King of the Jews？
18：34 耶穌回答說，這話是你自己說的，還是別人論我對你說的呢。
Jesus answered him， Sayest thou this thing of thyself， or did others tell it thee of me？
18：35 彼拉多說，我豈是猶太人呢。你本國的人和祭司長，把你交給我。你作了什么事呢。
Pilate answered， Am I a Jew？ Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me： what hast thou done？
18：36 耶穌回答說，我的國不屬這世界。我的國若屬這世界，我的臣仆必要爭戰，使我不至于被交給猶太人。只是我的國不屬這世界。
Jesus answered， My kingdom is not of this world： if my kingdom were of this world， then would my servants fight， that I should not be delivered to the Jews： but now is my kingdom not from hence.
18：37 彼拉多就對他說，這樣，你是王嗎。耶穌回答說，你說我是王。我為此而生，也為此來到世間，特為給真理作見證。凡屬真理的人，就聽我的話。
Pilate therefore said unto him， Art thou a king then？ Jesus answered， Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born， and for this cause came I into the world， that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
18：38 彼拉多說，真理是什么呢。說了這話，又出來到猶太人那里，對他們說，我查不出他有什么罪來。
Pilate saith unto him， What is truth？ And when he had said this， he went out again unto the Jews， and saith unto them， I find in him no fault at all.
18：39 但你們有個規矩，在逾越節要我給你們釋放一個人，你們要我給你們釋放猶太人的王嗎。
But ye have a custom， that I should release unto you one at the passover： will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews？
18：40 他們又喊著說，不要這人，要巴拉巴。這巴拉巴是個強盜。
Then cried they all again， saying， Not this man， but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
