And the stately ships go on
To their haven under the hill;
But O for the touch of a vanished hand,
And the sound of a voice that is still!

But the tender grace of a day that is dead

愿我的語言能夠表達

啊，那漁夫的男孩多么愉快，
與姊妹一起游戲呼喊；
啊，那年輕的水手多么愉快，
且引吭高歌且蕩舟海灣。
莊嚴的船隊在進發
駛向山下的海港；
可那消失了的柔荑（yi ）的輕撫
與那靜默了的聲音竟在何方！
嘩啦，嘩啦，嘩啦，
沖著巉(chan)巖的跟腳，啊海浪！
可那逝去的溫柔美好時光
再也不回我的身旁。
