You＇ve happened to be out when I call on you. I＇ve something urgent to consult you. The student union informed us that there will be a singing contest at 7 o＇clock on Friday evening next week. The time left for us to prepare is so short that we should decide on the three things quickly: i. What songs to sing? ii. When shall we practise every day? iii. Who will be the conductor? Please think them over yourself and then come to my home as soon as possible this evening and we＇ll have a talk about them.

【寫法指要】
訪友不遇留言（message to one who is out）包括的范圍很廣：可以是有急事拜訪不遇，也可以是無事閑聊拜訪不遇。有事時可以把事情寫在留言條上讓對方作一考慮；也可以只寫一句“有要事相商”之類的話，讓對方另行等候或主動找你。這種留言條可長可短；句子可以是完整句，也可以是片斷句，只要對方能看懂即可。例如，你可以寫：“I come, you out. I＇ll come again, please wait.”，不必拘泥語法，用詞等。
