Public Libraries
The main function of public libraries if to provide books for people to read. In a library there are books on different subjects， such as Chinese history， art， science， English literature and to on. There are also works of fiction. The public libraries are crowded with people. On weekdays as well as weekends many people， especially students who want to consult reference books for their study， often go there. They know they will at least be learning something there. Besides reading books in the library， we can also borrow books with a library card. But books on loan have to be returned within a couple of weeks. As far as I know， the number of people borrowing books from public libraries if increasing year by year.
