英語演講稿：Mad as Hell
I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's worth; banks are going bust; shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter; punks are running wild in the street, and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it.
我不用告訴你們事情很糟糕，每個人都知道現(xiàn)在很糟糕。這是一種沮喪，每個失業(yè)的人或者害怕丟失工作的人，美元只值五分錢。銀行即將破產(chǎn)，商場保安手握鋼槍守衛(wèi)著柜臺，賭徒們四散在街頭,人們看上去都不知道該干嘛。
We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat. And we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as if that's the way it's supposed to be!
我們知道空氣已經(jīng)不適合呼吸，食物不適合吃。我們坐著看我們的電視節(jié)目，一些本地新聞播音員告訴我們，今天我們有15起殺人命案和63起暴力事件，好像這就是應該發(fā)生的一樣。
We all know things are bad -- worse than bad -- they're crazy.
我們知道事情很糟糕，比糟糕更壞，他們都瘋了。
It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out any more. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we're living in is getting smaller, and all we say is, "Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials, and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone."

I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot. I don't want you to write to your Congressman, because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is that first, you've got to get mad.
我不希望你們抗議，也不想要你們暴動，我不想要你們寫下自己的想法。因為我不知道告訴你們該寫什么，我不知道沮喪的時候怎么辦，也不知道通貨膨脹了怎么辦。也不知道俄羅斯問題怎么辦，更不知道大街上的犯罪怎么辦，我只知道首先你要發(fā)瘋。
You've gotta say, "I'm a human being, goddammit! My life has value!"

So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window, open it, and stick your head out and yell,
"I'm as mad as hell,
and I'm not going to take this anymore!!"
因此我希望你們現(xiàn)在站起來，我希望你們所有人都從椅子上站起來。我希望你們現(xiàn)在起立走到窗邊，把窗戶拉開并把頭伸出去大喊。我TM的真是太不爽了，我再也受不了了！
