You Ask Him
A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though a whale is very large, its throat is very small. The little girl stated that Jonah had been swallowed by a whale. The teacher said again that a whale could not swallow a human. The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah".
The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell？"
The little girl replied, "Then you ask him！"
一個小女孩正在和她的老師討論鯨魚。老師說從生理構造上來看,鯨魚是不可能吃人的。因為盡管鯨魚的身體很大,它的喉嚨卻非常的小。小女孩說Jonah就是被鯨魚吃掉的。老師重申鯨魚不可能吃人。
小女孩說:“等我去了天堂我會問問Jonah.”
老師問到:“要是Jonah去了地獄怎么辦？”
小女孩回答:“那么就你去問他！”
注:Jonah是《圣經》中的一位先知。《圣經》中說他曾經因為不遵從上帝的旨意而被鯨魚吞入肚中。
The Doorbell
A man was walking down the street. He saw a small boy trying to reach the doorbell of a house. Even when he jumped up, he couldn't reach it. The man decided to help the boy. He walked to the door and pushed the doorbell. He looked down at the boy, smiled and asked, "What now？"
The boy answered, "Now we run like crazy！"
一個人正走在路上。他看到一個小男孩正伸手去夠一戶人家的門鈴。可是男孩就是跳起來也夠不著。這個人決定幫男孩一下。他走到門前,按響了門鈴。然后他笑著看著男孩,問到:“現在干嘛呢？”
男孩回答到:“現在我們要飛快地跑掉！”
