As major cities around the worldare growing fast and many problems occur. What are the problems that youngpeople five in cities are caused by continued growth? What solutions do yousuggest?

There seems to be many problems toyoung people today in fast growing cities such as Beijing, London and Sydneyetc. This essay will analyse some typical problems and offer possiblesolutions.

One evident problem is the poorbehaviours of the young. Nowadays, young people are easily influenced by thequestionable contents such as those violent images in the mass media and on theinternet etc. For example, the youth have easy access to social networkingwebsites on which they might come across inappropriate language and behavioursof adults without any expectation. Young people who crave attention may imitatethese as a way to distinguish themselves.

I think the key factor toalleviating the situation is for teachers and parents to pay more attention tothe development of young people's personality and morality instead of focusingon the academic performance only. In this way, students are more likely to become active and ablemembers of the society another obvious problem is the increasing rate of youthunemployment. One ofthe most immediate effects of the problem is that those jobless graduatescannot find a way to earn a living; thus, being unable to support themselvesand their families or to cover the loans which they might have for theirexpensive education, creating much pressure on themselves and their families,both financially and psychologically. This is far from a personal or privateproblem but also an issue for society as a whole. When the rate of youthunemployment uses, it may increase the chance of social instability, for thejobless young people with resentment and disappointment may easily form gangsor groups to commit robbery or other more serious crimes.

An important thing concerning younggraduates themselves should be taken into consideration to address thisproblem. They should be advised to adjust their expectations and embark on someseemingly more fundamental work, for example, jobs in the communities or ruralareas. This may work efficiently to reduce the current unemployment rates.
