經濟危機對大學生的影響
Currently, the economic crisis is severely affectingcollege students in many aspects. For example, somestudents have to make decisions about where, andeven whether, they will go to further their educationas their families watch drastic income shrink.
目前，大學生在許多方面都受到了經濟危機的嚴重影響。例如，許多學生都在為在哪里，以及是否應該繼續上學而苦惱，因為許多家庭的收入正在銳減。
As far as I’m concerned, the main influence of economic crisis on college students is that itmakes obtaining employment even more difficult. Once there was a time when graduating from auniversity was a cause for celebration. College education used to be considered as a guaranteefor good income, a decent work place and a passport to big cities like Beijing and Shanghai.But things have changed now. With today’s economic crisis,students face difficulties enteringthe workforce. It’s an anxious time for many. Many students getting ready to enter the jobmarket say that they’re scared. Many companies, particularly international big names, have cutemployees due to overseas problems in stock markets. Thousands of factories, which used tomanufacture shoes, clothes or toys for export, have been closed or are struggling forsurvival as their foreign orders were declined. All of these not only mean there are moreunemployed people, but also fewer opportunities for first-time job seekers.Consequently,nowadays students not only lower their salaryexpectations but also consider working in ruralinstead of urban areas.
我認為，經濟危機的主要影響使就業變得更加困難。曾經，大學畢業之后人們可以相互慶祝。以前，大學畢業就意味著可觀的收入，一個前往北京和上海的通行證。但是，現在事情變了。隨著經濟危機的影響，學生很難找到工作。許多人都焦急萬分。許多學生急忙要進入工作崗位，因為他們害怕找不到工作。由于海外股票問題，許多公司，特別是國際大公司都開始了裁員。許多曾經制作鞋、衣服玩具的出口工廠都已經關門倒閉，這是因為外國訂單急劇下降。這些不僅意味著更多的失業，同樣還意味著大學生的就業機會。所以，如今許多大學生不僅降低了自己的薪資期望，同時還考慮到鄉下工作。
In sum,college students are feeling the economic crisis shockwave in the job market, which hasbecome a pressing problem confronting them.
